Australia Geography
Hey Ozzmosis, I noticed that you had changed (on Feb 23th) the English measurements in the article by spelling them out. I can understand why you changed it, but I changed it back to an abbrivation because of what the wikipedia manual of style (dates and numbers) measurement section has to say. Click this link WP:MOSNUM and you see what I am talking about. Thanks MJCdetroit 04:02, 27 February 2006 (UTC)
- Understood, thanks.--ozzmosis 05:06, 27 February 2006 (UTC)
Formula One
Nice work removing that paragraph from Formula One. "The effects on the already low viewing figures"?? Where was the author getting that, from my memory 2005 produced some of the best figures in years due to the fact that it wasn't a Ferrari walkover! And ITV played two clips of a V10 and V8 on the same stretch of track, while you can tell a difference between the two clips I personally couldn't tell the difference without that sort of comparison. Thanks again, Mark83 23:14, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
1980 Tandy Catalog
Really enjoyed these scans on your web site - I was working for Tandy in 1980, amazing to look at that catalog now. --Commking 05:25, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
Station Navigation Box Arrows
I saw you added arrows to it just a moment ago. I personally don't think it needs them. They are very hard to read and makes it look abit unprofessional. What is your views on it? Lakeyboy 10:45, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
- I thought the arrows made it a bit easier to read actually. Not too fussed either way though. Sounds like we need a third opinion :-) --ozzmosis 10:47, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
- Third opinion: it really does need them. It's really a bit confusing without. --Evan C (Talk) 12:40, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
Donations?!
I can put what ever I want on my usertalk page but thanks for the input. I see you're from Melbourne too. That's great! Pnatt 17:39, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
consensus
What's a consensus? I don't know you'll have to tell me. Pnatt 14:29, 24 April 2006 (UTC)
I think Pnatt needs to be blocked. He keeps on working against consensus everywhere he edits and ignores the warnings on his talk page. If her continues I will have to take this up with an admin. Xtra 10:52, 25 April 2006 (UTC)

Cranbourne, Victoria
1. Cranbourne, Victoria is NOT SURROUNDED by farmland. Therefore it's a city suburb. 2. I'll take your word for replacing 'organizing' with 'coordinating'. 3. I'll take your word for replacing 'center' with 'centre' however citation is needed on the actual spelling. 4. I don't agree that 'terminates' should be used that way in the article.

- Pnatt is a troll. Do you think an administrator should be brought into this? michael talk 10:27, 26 April 2006 (UTC)

Station photos
Beautiful job with the station photos. The ones I've seen so far (Upfield and Flemington Bridge) look fantastic, and far better than the ones I took for the Alamein line when I was back in Melbourne. :) Ambi 09:47, 27 April 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks, although full credit should go to Ross Thomson of http://www.vicrailstations.com/ who took the photos and granted permission for them to be used on Wikipedia. Thank you, Ross! --ozzmosis 09:51, 27 April 2006 (UTC)
Advice: English dialects on Wikipedia: Wikipedia has millions of readers; some use American English, or British English, or International English, or any of numerous other local forms from Australian English to Canadian English. Because of this, Wikipedia has a policy of respecting articles written in whatever form of English the original author of the article used.
The guidelines are simple. For subjects exclusively related to Britain (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. If it is an international topic, use whatever form of English the original author used.
In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to the other, even if you don't normally use the version the article is written in. Respect other people's versions of English. They in turn should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Wikipedia:Manual of Style. If you have any queries about all this, just ask anyone on Wikipedia and they will help you. Enjoy your time on the internet's fastest growing encyclopædia (or encyclopedia, if you write it that way!). Thank you.

- Just reading from above - "The guidelines are simple. For subjects exclusively related to Britain (for example, a famous British person), use British English". appears to support changing an article about an Australian issue to Australian spelling. Xtra 05:11, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
- "beyondblue is an Australian non-profit organisation". I think the statement "If it is an international topic" (which beyondblue isn't) basically restricts the "author's own" policy to non-nation specific articles. For example, hydrogen. --Evan C (Talk) 05:28, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
Thanks Mate
Hey, thanks for reverting User talk:Pnatt just before, I was actually just thinking of doing so myself. So yeah, thanks a lot mate (pity your over the ditch ;)) --NigelJ talk 13:11, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
Infobox for stations
Hey, saw your infobox for the stations on the Sydenham lines (at least). Nice work, they look way better than the quick ones I knocked up last month. =)

I'd like to thank you for the window box on the Windsor Station article - it looks fantastic. Adamm 04:48, 20 May 2006 (UTC)
Your call on the links
WP:EL and WP:NOT are pretty straight forward when it comes to links. Unfortunately this type of linkspam vandalism is rampant on Wikipedia especially in the music related article which are bombed with crappy fansites and online fanzines. If you feel any link on the RR page is particularly notable and follows policy by all means put it back in. As it is I questioned the validity of the one link I left behind. As for the others I only quickly glanced at a few and found them to be poor to the point of insulting and in very bad taste. Good day! Fair Deal 12:12, 14 June 2006 (UTC)
broadcasted
I think if you do a web search or look up a dictionary you will find 'broadcasted' is a word. --ozzmosis 03:57, 4 July 2006 (UTC)
- Ooops sorry so it is! Gee it just sounds wrong to me. Thanks for the message. Asa01 04:08, 4 July 2006 (UTC)
Olivers Hill
Thanks for the photos! The article needed them. Do you have of Olivers Hill itself - we only really have a photo of the boat ramp car park, and a view of Frankston? Thanks --Commking 11:19, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
- I reckon there must be some good shots possible of the Hill.. with all those big houses on it. Maybe taken from the pier? Or the boardwalk? --Commking 13:20, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
- Excellent photo - I like the curving boardwalk. I have never uploaded any photos to Wikipedia, but I reckon I might have a go with this article.. --Commking 09:41, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
Beyond 2000, Towards 2000, Beyond Tomorrow
Hi, i am HappyApple and i have edited Beyond tomorrow's article some days ago, in fact to add more data to article's infobox and i see you have corrected some of my contributions.
I am not from Australia but i really enjoyed to watch the series (actually the original ones 1985-1993 from seven), because i am from Peru, on my country we used to watch it using NTSC system on 480i resolution, and on the NTSC article it says Australia used this format in the past (historic) and i believe it is likely that maybe that format was used to broadcast the original series in the 80's and early 90's.
As i see from your user page you are from Australia, maybe you have more specific information about this. By the way, all the information i have adjusted so far (previously) was based on internet sources which may not always be accurate, if you see any problem with the schedule or the name of the hosts i would appreciate you can correct any mistake. Cheers :) --HappyApple 19:09, 17 October 2006 (UTC)
Sizes
Thanks :) (For the record I'm an Andrew as well!) Most of them are coming from the ABS. I'm not sure about the Bangholme one specifically... it says "Bangholme (SSC 21121) , .4 sq. Kms" at the top. I suspect someone in the department badly mucked up! My very crude measurement from the Melway suggests it should be closer to 30. Orderinchaos78 04:02, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
Wikiproject Podcasting
I've noticed that you have helped out with the information Wikipedia has on podcasting, and wanted to send an invitation your way. Yesterday I proposed a Wikiproject for Podcasting. There's a description there, although it's a little self-explanitory, and if you're interested I'd love to see your name under 'interested users'. Thanks, and have a great day.
