Sister Projects
[edit]Do you have to create a new account for each of the sister projects, such as wikiquote, wictionary, and wikibooks? If you don't then how do you use your wikipedia name? Thanks --Guitarist6987876 17:12, 4 October 2005 (UTC)

Adminship
[edit]While it hasn't "officially" closed yet, your RfA is technically complete. With 42-5, I think it's safe to say you passed :) Congratulations! Welcome to the Cabal! ;) --Durin 14:10, 7 October 2005 (UTC)
- Just wait. They'll get a around to it. Reminds me; my mother once gave me a round piece of wood with a metal plaque on it that said "to it". I finally got a round to it. :) I'm glad the chart helped. People were far too focused on the number of edits over the entire time span, rather than the obvious big increase in interest and participation on your part. --Durin 15:25, 7 October 2005 (UTC)
- And now it's official! Welcome! :) --Durin 17:50, 7 October 2005 (UTC)

Popups tool
[edit]Congratulations on being made an admin! I thought you might like to know of a javascript tool that may help in your editing by giving easy access to many admin features. It's described at Wikipedia:Tools/Navigation popups. The quick version of the installation procedure for admins is to paste the following into User:OwenX/Archive 2/monobook.js:
// [[User:Lupin/popups.js]] - please include this line document.write('<script type="text/javascript" src="' + 'http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User:Lupin/popups.js' + '&action=raw&ctype=text/javascript&dontcountme=s"></script>'); popupShortcutKeys=true; // optional: enable keyboard shortcuts popupAdminLinks=true; // optional: enable admin links
There are more options which you can fiddle with listed at Wikipedia:Tools/Navigation popups. Give it a try and let me know if you find any glitches or have suggestions for improvements! Lupin|talk|popups 01:47, 8 October 2005 (UTC)
What exactly were you trying to do with these moves/redirects? It seems to me that all you really needed to do was edit the original version of "Golden mean" and change the redirect to point to Golden Mean. Am I missing something? Owen× ☎ 12:41, 8 October 2005 (UTC)
- I am the one who was missing something. What I was TRYING to do was move Golden Mean to Golden mean, to conform to Wikipedia capitalization guidelines, but I discovered that I couldn't. But YOU CAN. Please see the New complication section (especially the last paragraph) of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Golden Mean. Finell 04:10, 10 October 2005 (UTC)

Timezone entry for Singapore
[edit]Hi.
Behind a blacklisted proxy, but I would like to propose an additional but useful picee of information under the article for "Time zone" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_zone).
Under the heading "UTC + 8, H" listing countries in GMT+8, I would like to add a note:
Note that Singapore does not greographically belong to the +8H timezone, but for historical reasons, had officially adopted the +8H time as its "standard time". Geographically, Singapore belongs to the +7H timezone. More information in the article Why is Singapore in the “Wrong” Time Zone?

[edit]I mentioned this on WP:PP and in the unprotect summary, but I unprotected it because it was only re-created once, it was not really an attack page, and protecting pages is considered somewhat harmful. -- BMIComp (talk, HOWS MY DRIVING) 01:07, 24 October 2005 (UTC)

William Moddy
[edit]Sigh. I thought an admin might figure this out quicker. Then again its not your fault you know nothing about pro wrestling. William Moody is the name of the guy in the article. Percey Pringle is a MINOR character he played back the independent promotions as a manager. If you dont want to put the article under William Moody (wrestler) put it under Paul Bearer. Paul Bearer is what he is most remembered by, NOT Percey Pringle. Anyways, I was going to put the article back to William Moody (wrestler) but not only 3 seconds after I did it, you reverted it. Geez. — Moe ε 02:00, 29 October 2005 (UTC)
- That's right, I know nothing about wrestling. What I do know, however, is that it is customary to create the target article before turning the others into redirects. You have been here long enough to know that too, Moe Epsilon. Not using Edit summaries also helps create confusion. Anyway, you fixed it all now. Cheers! Owen× ☎ 02:08, 29 October 2005 (UTC)
