Re: Southern Oscillation
[edit]Hi Ovis23 - seems I've been leading you astray after being led astray myself. There are apparently two separate weather patterns known here as the Southern oscillation. One is the El Niño pattern, lasting for entire years; the other is a much shorter-termed phenomenon lasting about a week, for which I have been unable to find another name.
