November 2021

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. I am glad to see that you are discussing a topic. However, as a general rule, talk pages (including user talk pages) such as Talk:Adverb are for discussion related to improving (a) an encyclopedia article in specific ways based on reliable sources or (b) project policies and guidelines. They are not for general discussion about the article topic or unrelated topics, or statements based on your thoughts or feelings. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. Thank you. Fair enough. My point was relevant, though perhaps not apparently so. I’ve made my point more clearly now though in a more detailed post. I was inspired to look at this article and discuss it due to a discussion on Wiktionary and mentioned that in my original comment and I don’t see a problem with that, or in mentioning Wiktionary on Wikipedia but I have studiously avoided any mention of this in my new post. Just educate me and I’ll educate you. Mark I know it’s tough but if we understand then only will we come to the realization that it’s okay to explore. Kemo Richardson Sn 35.131.172.35 (talk) 07:00, 25 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Who’s Mark? What’s tough? Overlordnat1 (talk) 09:26, 25 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Certification of decency

[edit]

Recently, I was given to a little playful game of being a representative of a certification authority. I will play it here since it is not only fun but also deeply meaningful.

As the representative, I herewith certify you as a decent person at level 1 given objective evidence of your behavior in the Dan Polansky case; you have passed the test set up by Dan Polansky, for persons and processes at a minimum. You are certified as freedom-of-speech greenbelt and Christian-love-and-forgiveness greenbelt. If you proceed further as before, you may become a blackbelt.

Best wishes from the designated representative of the Federal Universal Certification Authority (FUCA). (For those who do not understand this humor, this is all fun, but there is also a deep non-fun meaning.) --Dan Polansky (talk) 12:27, 7 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I’m deeply humbled to be accepted as a member of such an exclusive club of course. I do however feel compelled to enquire as to whether having a green belt entitles me to a prize in greenbacks. Overlordnat1 (talk) 20:57, 7 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
