Your edit summary on Fall of Constantinople
[edit]Hi and thanks for contributing to Wikipedia! :-)
Thanks for your edits on Fall of Constantinople. I wanted to take a moment to give you some feedback on this edit summary. Wikipedia is a collaborative project and it relies solely on the goodwill of the people involved. One way to maintain that goodwill is through Wikipedia's code of conduct. Please take a moment to review WP:Civility.
Your edit summary was not in line with WP:Civility.
I would like to point out the following:
- I was the person who "made these changes". I spent a good amount of time improving that infobox and moving the copious inline citations to the body of the article where they belong (per WP:INFOBOX).
- I have to disagree with your statement that the edits were "not an improvement at all". I cited the applicable portions of the Wikipedia Manual of Style and the policies on infoboxes in support of the changes I made.
I am not offended, nor do I take your comments personally. However, other editors might have, which brings us back to that all-important goodwill. Offending other editors is not good for anyone, and certainly not for the project.
Again, I want to thank you for contributing and feel free to reach out to me if you ever have any questions or need help. Informata ob Iniquitatum (talk) 15:43, 2 June 2018 (UTC)
