Sortable Holmboe list
[edit]HI Orfeo - I admire your great work, and also fully agree with what you say about the notability and quality of Holmboe's music. It would be nice now to be able to expand the main text article. Although I don't have much more to hand in the way of sources than CD booklet notes, I'd always be happy to lend a hand where I can. However, you seem to have a very capable and safe pair of hands yourself! Best, MistyMorn (talk) 09:33, 10 January 2012 (UTC)

I appear to be dealing with a more experienced editor who is intent on squashing dissent. He is not even allowing templates to be added that raise issues for discussion. This is not occurring just with me, as when a similar tempalte was added by an experienced editor last year it was erased within 5 minutes.
This person has spent months writing Clavier-Übung III and consequently appears to believe that he 'owns' it. As I have only joined Wikipedia recently, I am extremely uncertain about the different options for seeking other people's opinions and developing some kind of consensus or getting some resolution. - Hello. I think you'll find some good suggestions for a way forward with this issue in the AN/I thread linked below. I'd also add that from my experience as a Wikipedia reader (not so much as a writer, as my edit-count would indicate), Mathsci is a good editor, and probably feels as strongly as you do about the proposed changes, that the article is in good-shape as is. I'd advise you not to get discouraged, and realize that Mathsci is likely taking the dispute-resolution steps he/she has chosen in good faith with only the best interest of the article in mind. I hope you take this on-board. Good luck with everything! Quinn ❀ BEAUTIFUL DAY 03:49, 2 February 2012 (UTC)
- Hi, I just had a similar run-in with this person on 'his' Orgelbüchlein article. Same result, he bullied me until I concluded I had better things to do. I think this behavior should be reported. Thanks, Zwart (talk) 02:07, 1 August 2012 (UTC)

Hono(u)rable mention
[edit]Thanks I appreciate your note, but how am I involved here? —Justin (koavf)❤T☮C☺M☯ 00:28, 3 February 2012 (UTC)
- Ah This makes sense to me. I have still not investigated what this dispute is about exactly, but I will say this much: 1.) this page is far too long, 2.) you being a new user should in no way disenfranchise you from bringing up good points, and 3.) I will happily do what I can to help you navigate the intricacies of Wikipedia. If you want me to look into this, I can. —Justin (koavf)❤T☮C☺M☯ 02:06, 3 February 2012 (UTC)
- Tagging I posted to the AN, so they should anticipate my feedback. I don't think anyone can allege a conspiracy on our part. —Justin (koavf)❤T☮C☺M☯ 02:26, 3 February 2012 (UTC)
First, users shouldn't lose sleep because of events that happened on Wikipedia. Being a Wikipedia user is completely voluntary. I'm assuming your encounter is with Mathsci and seems there has been an ANI entry on this. Seeing as this seems to have affected you so much, perhaps taking a Wiki-vacation would help have clearer thoughts?

I've been doing a bit of rummaging at the British Library, in the light of which I've added some more comments. Pray ponder and let us discuss. Tim riley (talk) 19:31, 11 November 2013 (UTC)
- I think you are entitled to open a can of applause. If I'm any judge you have got the Pavane problem sewn up good and proper. I have left a longer note on the article talk page. Tim riley (talk) 15:04, 17 November 2013 (UTC)
