Brighton

[edit]

Nice work recently on nightclub/venue articles. I'll see if I can help expand them using some of my book sources. Hassocks5489 (Floreat Hova!) 22:09, 6 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Hassocks5489: Thank you and yes that would be fantastic! Very hard to find sources on some of this stuff, I guess nobody thought to save much from the time - or atleast it's not easy to find. Also, I saw you added a great photo to Revenge (nightclub), but it's a photo of Bar Revenge rather than the club up the road. I'll hopefully get around to writing about the bar (in that article I expect) at some point, but it would be great if you could get a photo of the club that seems to be missing from your Old Steine collection. Orangeisacop (talk) 15:11, 8 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, over the years I've managed to photograph most things around the city but there are still plenty of omissions especially around the central beachfront area, which for some reason I hardly ever go to. If the weather stays fine on Saturday I will probably wander into town and will have a go at photographing some of the clubs and bars specifically. I'm in the process of uploading my backlog of Brighton and Hove photos, with about another 4,000 to go (lockdown has been helpful in giving me time to sort these out!), but at the rate I'm going I expect to have uploaded everything by the end of the month. If there's anything specific you would like me to photograph, other than for the articles you have recently written, let me know. Cheers, Hassocks5489 (Floreat Hova!) 22:07, 9 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Belatedly, I've uploaded and added to the articles the photos I took in July of The Arch and Club Revenge. Cheers, Hassocks5489 (Floreat Hova!) 11:11, 2 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Boomtown

[edit]

Hi I’m a new page reviewer and I see that back in March you created a series of articles on Boomtown events. In order to have a stand-alone article Wikipedia needs there to be substantial, in-depth coverage of the event by reliable independent sources. As they stand the articles just seem to listings of who performed, sourced directly to the event programmes. I’m afraid this doesn’t meet our notability requirements. Are there any further sources you could add? Thanks Mccapra (talk) 11:24, 29 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Boomtown 2018 moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Boomtown 2018, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hello, Orangeisacop. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Boomtown (music festival) line-ups".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! —Nnadigoodluck🇳🇬 01:00, 22 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
