Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Orange Anomaly., and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your recent edits did not conform to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may have been removed. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations verified in reliable, reputable print or online sources or in other reliable media. Always provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to The Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need personal help ask me on my talk page, or ask a question on your talk page. Again, welcome.  ~ ToBeFree (talk) 19:48, 14 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to East African Federation, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. Joyous! Noise! 14:23, 23 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Kylian Mbappé. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism can result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 22:24, 23 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, just checking in to let you know more about WP:Soapbox and WP:FORUM

Wikipedia simply isn't the place for personal political takes to be discussed. Its talk pages are dedicated to talking about improving the articles themselves. Not for sharing personal takes on the subject matter.

You are indeed entitled to have your personal opinion. And there are plenty of places online where you can share it.

However, Wikipedia's purpose is not to serve as a message board or social media network. It's to build an online encyclopedia.

I hope that clarifies why it was not appropriate to use Talk:Impeachment inquiry against Joe Biden as a space to publish a personal take. This site simply isn't meant to be such a forum. SecretName101 (talk) 03:07, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
