Deletion of /userboxen
[edit]Thanks. No, my experiment was not a success. I was attempting to follow the directions on a Wiki page for creating a sub page in my userspace, and it wound up OUT THERE. Thanks for deleting it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wowest (talk • contribs) 09:12, 26 December 2009
AfD nomination of Ospina Coffee Company
[edit]Thanks Opus, i'm definitely not an expert on the subject, but hopefully i've made that user's experience a little more hospitable on here despite what must be a stressful situation. I'm not sure if i'll chime in on the afd. Doc Quintana (talk) 04:38, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
- If you search for Ospina Coffee rather than Ospina Coffee Company, you will get better results. - Eastmain (talk) 05:00, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
- More references can be found at http://www.accessmylibrary.com/search/?q=Ospina+coffee -- Eastmain (talk) 05:05, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
As the nominator, would you consider closing this nomination, giving me a few days to work on this article? I have completely stubified the article, moving all the company referenced text to the talk page.
the creator is obviously a new editor.
Please let me know ASAP, and I will close the AFD myself, you can always renominate again if you feel progression is not going along fast enough on the article, or if it still does not meet notablity. Ikip 21:40, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
Barnstar
[edit]The Helping Hand Barnstar | ||
This barnstar is awarded to Opus 113, for thinking about the concerns of new editors and fostering the development of new editors in the future.
Thank you for your efforts in building the project. Ikip 02:00, 30 December 2009 (UTC) |
I find the best way to work with new editors is foster their creative desires. You did a good job trying to work with this enthusiastic editor, next time you have a problem with an article, please consider messaging Wikipedia:Article Rescue Squadron or WP:Incubator before putting an article up for deletion. We can try to find sources and work with the enthusiastic editor.
I completely rewrote the article, starting from scratch, so it is a notable stub. I found many sources which I am not sure are attached to this company. I will watch the article and make sure every word from here on out is sourced.
Thank you for your hard work and willingness to comprimise. Ikip 02:00, 30 December 2009 (UTC)
- your welcome, it is amazing how hard a company as notable as this, is to find sources...Ikip 15:37, 30 December 2009 (UTC)

Final discussion for Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Biographies of living people
[edit]Hello, I note that you have commented on the first phase of Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Biographies of living people
As this RFC closes, there are two proposals being considered:
- Proposal to Close This RfC
- Alternate proposal to close this RFC: we don't need a whole new layer of bureaucracy
Your opinion on this is welcome. Okip 03:23, 24 February 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of User:Willypedia
[edit]A tag has been placed on User:Willypedia, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Opus 113 (talk) 16:30, 1 January 2012 (UTC)
- Note to whom it may concern: I did not create this page, but it appeared that it was being used improperly as a sandbox, so I moved that content to User:Bolzoni/Sandbox and nominated User:Willypedia for speedy deletion using Twinkle, leading to this notification.--Opus 113 (talk) 16:34, 1 January 2012 (UTC)
New Page Triage engagement strategy released
[edit]Hey guys!
I'm dropping you a note because you filled out the New Page Patrol survey, and indicated you'd be interested in being contacted about follow-up work. This is to notify you that we've finally released both the initial documentation about the project and also the engagement strategy, which sets out how we plan to work with the community on this. Please give both a read, and leave any comments or suggestions you have on the talkpage, on my talkpage, or in my inbox - okeyeswikimedia.org.
It's awesome to finally get to start work on this! :). Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 02:16, 3 March 2012 (UTC)
