Hello, OphirCollection. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Painite, you may have a conflict of interest.
All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.
If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:
- Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
- Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
- Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.
Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you.Your username and edit history indicate a conflict of interest.--Vsmith (talk) 00:08, 18 June 2014 (UTC)
Your recent edits
[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 14:11, 18 June 2014 (UTC)

Indenting and signing
[edit]You've a message above telling you how to sign. Indenting is covered at WP:Indent but is basically done by putting a colon (:) or more before you edits - for each paragraph of course and not in (). Dougweller (talk) 18:48, 18 June 2014 (UTC)

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
below this notice.
You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}

- The WP:COI issue will of course remain whatever name you use. Dougweller (talk) 18:58, 18 June 2014 (UTC)
- A great way to have a dialogue is to block dissent and then send one way messages. You have a COI policy, I have non COI questions, can we get those answered before blocking me? Well I have my answer since you've already blocked me without answering my questions. I think I've embarrassed several admins because I ask question A and admins answer question B of their own choosing. Very unreasonable.--OphirCollection (talk) 19:12, 18 June 2014 (UTC)
- Let me be more straightforward, regarding the notice board I can no longer edit, are you and the other admins refusing to answer whether a recognition by Guinness is an urban myth or a valuable reference? I've presented logic, I've been responded to with obfuscation.--OphirCollection (talk) 19:16, 18 June 2014 (UTC)
- This isn't helping. I hadn't planned to do this but when I realised that there was a commercial COI I really had no choice unless I decided to ignore our policy. Just get a new username. Dougweller (talk) 20:30, 18 June 2014 (UTC)
