Mass edits about climate emergency declarations

[edit]

Hello, please do not make mass-edits like this without discussing them somewhere prominent first like the Wikipedia:Australian Wikipedians' notice board. The three main problems with your edits as I see them are:

  • They're completely inappropriate for the lead section, which is supposed to summarise the rest of the article;
  • I'm not sure if this sort of thing is even notable enough in the first place for an article body, given that it only has symbolic implications rather than tangential ones (for better or worse) ... if newspapers of record from outside an area comment on a local government area declaring a climate emergency, that would be one thing, but this may or may not happen;
  • Any mentions should link to climate emergency declaration or maybe Climate emergency declarations in Australia. Graham87 15:19, 20 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
OK noted, apologies! I'll start a thread on the notice board to discuss. Openfj0re (talk) 10:20, 24 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
