Conflict of interest
[edit]If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article E-Century Publishing Corporation, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:
- editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
- participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
- linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you. --Orange Mike | Talk 04:49, 7 December 2009 (UTC)
- Please do not add advertising or inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. This is your second warning. Continuing to do this will result in you being blocked from Wikipedia. --BaronLarf 05:07, 10 December 2009 (UTC)
The article International Journal of Clinical and Experimental Medicine has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- A search for references failed to find significant coverage in reliable sources to comply with notability requirements. This included web searches for news coverage, books, and journals, which can be seen from the following links:
International Journal of Clinical and Experimental Medicine – news, books, scholar
Consequently, this article is about a subject that appears to lack sufficient notability.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Abductive (reasoning) 07:11, 10 December 2009 (UTC)

AfD nomination of International Journal of Clinical and Experimental Medicine
[edit]An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is International Journal of Clinical and Experimental Medicine. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/International Journal of Clinical and Experimental Medicine. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.
Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:17, 11 December 2009 (UTC)
Do not remove AfD tags
[edit]You should not remove AfD tags, they are not like Prod tags. Abductive (reasoning) 07:40, 11 December 2009 (UTC)

It might make sense to WP:Incubate E-Century Publishing
[edit]Hi. It might make sense to WP:Incubate E-Century Publishing. I'm sorry it was deleted - but as I said in my post although it seems admirable it is not yet notable in our technical sense. But perhaps soon will be. NBeale (talk) 17:02, 20 December 2009 (UTC)
- Hi. Thanks for your message. FWIW I have been spectacularly unsuccessful re deletions - despite having co-authored a clearly WP:N book the article on Nicholas Beale has been deleted 4 times and is now in userspace awaiting improvement and possibly a Deletion Review when it meets various people's concerns.
- In the absence of any 3rd party coverage of e-century I don't think it will be at all easy to get a DRV. Suggest you put it in the incubator and see what happens. There is also the worry about WP:COI since I suspect you may be connected with the company (as of course I am with N.B.) We could try mutual assistance perhaps ;-) NBeale (talk) 18:59, 28 December 2009 (UTC)
- 1) You did not write the book; you co-authored the book, with a clearly more notable co-author. Just because the book and/or your collaborator are notable, does not make you so.Notability is not contagious. 2) You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved. This applies to articles about you, your achievements, your band, your business, your publications, your website, your relatives, and any other possible conflict of interest.
Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability.
If you are not "notable" under Wikipedia guidelines, creating an article about yourself may violate the policy that Wikipedia is not a personal webspace provider and would thus qualify for speedy deletion. If your achievements, etc., are verifiable and genuinely notable, and thus suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. (See Wikipedia:Wikipedians with articles.) Thank you. --Orange Mike | Talk 18:22, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
- Mike - to avoid confusion (since your comment is about me not OpenAccessforScience) I'll copy this only my userpage and reply there. NBeale (talk) 18:53, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for File:AJTR cover.gif
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:AJTR cover.gif. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Magog the Ogre (talk) 04:34, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
