Hi, I deleted this article a a copyright violation since it was copied & pasted from the source. The fact that the information is publicly available does not mean it is in the public domain. In the United States federal government works are in the public domain, but the majority of other countries don't have that rule. I checked it out for Nigeria and couldn't find information that government works are in the public domain. Garion96 (talk) 09:27, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, just "wouldn't mind" is unfortunately not good enough. We need to have a clear statement that the text is public domain or released under the GFDL. The easiest way is to have note on the original website stating that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain. Alternatively could you/they send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org stating release of the material under the GFDL.
