Aquahung
[edit]Re: the message you left about my edit to the Bronx River article: If you Google "Aquahung" you will see many references to the Aquahung river name. It is NOT a Latin word, it just looks like one. Ahkond 19:13, 18 June 2007 (UTC)

{{help me}}
I discussed a change I thought should be made to the DevOps page on the article's talk page. I then made the edit. An anonymous user reverted my edit with no discussion on their part. I added a note to my original section on the talk page that since the revert had been made by an anonymous user with no discussion on the talk page, and revert left the page in a state that didn't address my original concerns, I was going to restore my edits (which I did by reverting the revert). I also left a note on the anon's talk page inviting him/her to discuss the issue on the article's talk page. A few days later I was reverted by the same anonymous user, with no explanation again. I don't want to get into an edit war, so I'm requesting the help of a third party.
Here's my original edit: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=DevOps&diff=456040991&oldid=454947548
The first revert: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=DevOps&diff=468216667&oldid=467807135
My subsequent re-revert: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=DevOps&diff=468985559&oldid=468216667
And the most recent re-re-revert: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=DevOps&diff=469635765&oldid=468985559
The section I added to the talk page, which includes my original justification for the change and my subsequent notes: Talk:DevOps#Criticism_not_Supported_by_Reference

- I've removed the section. It's not supported by WP:RS - those pages are no more than blogs - just opinions. We don't use opinions, just data. Also warned the IP. Hopefully that we be the end of it. Drop me a note if he persists, I can always semi protect if necessary. Ronhjones (Talk) 00:18, 8 January 2012 (UTC)

[edit]No your work was not vandalism, and I followed the Wikipedia edit undo instructions to make this clear. Those instructions state: "If you are undoing an edit that is not vandalism, explain the reason in the edit summary. Do not use the default message only." Since your work was not vandalism I explained the reason in the edit summary. I stated, "No. Not exact duplicates. These are 2 different resolutions 2 years apart. But I do agree maybe the prose should be improved to make that clear.)" I do agree the two paragraphs were indeed identical if they stood as you indicated in your message to me. Hopefully after the re-write that subsequently took place, we can now also agree the prose/contents is more appropriate than the way it stood before. Regards, Mercy11 (talk) 00:29, 25 June 2012 (UTC)

The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
