User page
[edit]Hey there. Thanks for all the articles about Guam; they're quite useful. Keep up the good work!
By the way, I created a user page for you. It's very plain (because I don't know anything about you), but I hope you like it. Feel free to change it to anything you want, of course. DS 14:46, 3 September 2005 (UTC)

Image Tagging Image:Wapa new parknet photos.jpg
[edit]This image may be deleted.
|
Thanks for uploading Image:Wapa new parknet photos.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the image qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. - This photo was featured at http://www.nps.gov/wapa/ but has been replaced with another photo and is no longer available on the national park website. I have uploaded other photos from national park websites and other government archives and galleries. Will these photos from National park, NASA and military sites be at risk of deletion if these sites replace the photos or galleries? Is further documentation needed to prevent deletion? Please give me advice. Onionhound 17:19, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

I didn't even know you existed, however I appreciate your edits to Guam, etc. I'm working on the 2004 election page and all the supporting pages are there ;D! Thanx. 68.39.174.238 01:05, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

Guam village maps
[edit]Hi, I've created Template:Infobox Village of Guam and have been sticking it in articles. The problem I have is that I didn't realize that you hadn't finished making maps for all of the villages and I am stumped on how to make an "if" statement for an entire infobox section so the code doesn't appear if there's no map. I'll keep trying to figure out the code I ripped off, but if you're looking for a nudge to finish the rest of the maps... Also, they should eventually be migrated to Commons as I'm sure other Wikipedias would love to use them. Cheers, BanyanTree 13:37, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
Chamorro Scouting
[edit]Can you please help render "Be Prepared", the Scout Motto, into Chamorro? Thanks! Chris 08:25, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
courtesy note
[edit]This is just to let you know that, after ensuring that all member images in Category:Images of Guam are on Commons and categorized under commons:Category:Guam, I have deleted the category as being redundant. This was done as a housekeeping task that is assumed to be uncontroversial. If you wish to contest the deletion, I would be happy to restore the category and begin a deletion discussion. Thank you, BanyanTree 13:00, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Hyperspace.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Hyperspace.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 17:49, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
Requested photographs in Guam
[edit]I created Category:Wikipedia requested photographs in Guam to better aid those in Guam to locate articles needing photos of particular areas within Guam. GregManninLB (talk) 20:40, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
Speaking of photograph requests, if it is convenient for you, would you please photograph the Continental Micronesia headquarters in Tamuning? Thank you WhisperToMe (talk) 05:20, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Asan landing(National Archives 80-G-238994).jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Asan landing(National Archives 80-G-238994).jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 19:35, 24 January 2011 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 19:35, 24 January 2011 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
