Hi, I was just wondering why you changed my page? (Radioheadedlove (talk) 09:34, 6 May 2008 (UTC))
- The edits were made to reflect life at my camp... in an encyclopaedic manner. Oneblackline (talk) 21:20, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
- When you say life at your camp? Have you been there? In which case we probably know each other. What is your objection to having a refrence to 'Blingers'? Is it the offhand writing style or the actual information, it was a work in progress. (Radioheadedlove (talk) 22:00, 6 May 2008 (UTC))
- Yes, I've been there... I am the ghost father of the resident fox who roams the camp which preceded the current manifestation. Anyway, "Blingers" and their vocabulary are ok to include if they, it or the term is notable and has secondary sources. The informal style was perhaps a little inappropriate for WP however realistic the dialogue was to the actuality or the forthcoming musical. Oneblackline (talk) 19:24, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
Coastal Settlements in Essex
[edit]I note that you have added Tilbury to the category Coastal Settlements in Essex. How far up the Thames should this category apply? Barking? Rjm at sleepers (talk) 15:41, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
- I see your point... I've removed it. Oneblackline (talk) 19:41, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
Oxford Wikimania 2010 and Wikimedia UK v2.0 Notice
[edit]Hi,
As a regularly contributing UK Wikipedian, we were wondering if you wanted to contribute to the Oxford bid to host the 2010 Wikimania conference. Please see here for details of how to get involved, we need all the help we can get if we are to put in a compelling bid.
We are also in the process of forming a new UK Wikimedia chapter to replace the soon to be folded old one. If you are interested in helping shape our plans, showing your support or becoming a future member or board member, please head over to the Wikimedia UK v2.0 page and let us know. We plan on holding an election in the next month to find the initial board, who will oversee the process of founding the company and accepting membership applications. They will then call an AGM to formally elect a new board who after obtaining charitable status will start the fund raising, promotion and active support for the UK Wikimedian community for which the chapter is being founded.
You may also wish to attend the next London meet-up at which both of these issues will be discussed. If you can't attend this meetup, you may want to watch Wikipedia:Meetup, for updates on future meets.
We look forward to hearing from you soon, and we send our apologies for this automated intrusion onto your talk page!

Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Oneblackline. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Oneblackline~enwiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
