Temepara George
[edit]I see you placed Temepara George in Category:1996 deaths, but there is no indication in the article that she has died and every reason to believe that she is alive. Was this a copy and paste slip, or do you know something about this person that requires the article to be updated?-gadfium 23:04, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
- Damn. sorry, that is a mistake. AWB has an option where it guesses birth and death categories, if you instruct it to do so. It is somewhat overzealous though and in this case it confused the 1996 date for a death. I normally pick these up, but must have missed this one. Cheers, Onco_p53 00:30, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
- That's a pretty serious bug. I recall Peter B saying to me once that he had learned of the death of a colleague through Wikipedia; it would be devastating to get this wrong.-gadfium 01:33, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
- It is not the best, but it is not an automatic setting and really it is all my fault, I should have checked more carefully. I do find AWB useful for finding these new articles though, I'll do another scan in a few weeks or so. Onco_p53 01:58, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Daniel Handler.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Daniel Handler.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Category:Wikipedians with a PhD
[edit]Hi,
I noticed you created the category above. The thing is there is another similar to this: Category:Wikipedians with PhD degrees. Can these two be merged?
Thanks. Dr.K. 22:03, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for pointing that out. I have fixed the template and will delete the category. Onco_p53 22:17, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

- Hey it looks pretty good, I printed off a copy to read through slowly. Also I am checking all the 400+ links on the page. Onco_p53 00:36, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
AWB, stubs and spaces
[edit]Many of your edits, apparently using AWB, do nothing except to remove whitespace, including that before a {{stub}} tag. This has no effect except before the stub, where it removes the (deliberate) space between the article and the template message. Making edits which make no visible change are frowned upon, and ones which additionally deteriorate article, even in a small way, are obviously undesirable. Please update the settings of your AWB (if that is possible) to allow two line breaks before a stub tag, and stop making edits which only remove non-rendered whitespace. Thanks. --Stemonitis 07:57, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
- Damn, I see what you mean about the stub spacing. That was done correctly in previous versions of AWB but must be broken in this version. I'll make sure it gets fixed or else this will be happening to everybody that uses it. Onco_p53 21:05, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
