Links to other Wikipedia articles
Hello Omorodion1, I just wanted to quickly mention something about links to other Wikipedia articles (so-called "wikilinks"): when a word has already been wikilinked, it should not be wikilinked again in the same article. There can be exceptions to this, but linking the same word twice in the same paragraph is always superfluous. All the best, --bonadea contributions talk 09:47, 8 June 2020 (UTC)
Thanks for the enlightenment. Correction noted. Omorodion1 (talk) 22:03, 13 November 2020 (UTC)
Undisclosed Paid Editing
Hello Omorodion1. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Omorodion1. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Omorodion1|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Your recent creations of non notable Nigerian entrepreneurs are of a major course for concern. Please ensure to declare a COI where necessary Celestina007 (talk) 20:38, 13 November 2020 (UTC)
- Hi User:Celestina007 and thank you for your concern as regard my edit.. It’s important to note that I have no conflict of interest or paid editing interest whatsoever; I am a professional librarian who joined the Wikipedia community through African library campaign and 1lib1ref program. My recent contributions are due to the ongoing Decolonise the internet project as you can see here that I am one of the participants.. I hope this clarify your doubts. Regards Omorodion1 (talk) 21:50, 13 November 2020 (UTC)
- I’ve heard such tales before, but I really do want to believe you. It is in your best interest to desist from articles on entrepreneurs or businesspeople for now, until you fully grasp WP:GNG, WP:N, WP:RS. I say desist from entrepreneurs because binge creating articles on entrepreneurs is usually an archetype trait of a UPE editor which you have just claimed you aren’t & I’m assuning good faith here & accepting your statement as truth but If you insist on creating articles on entrepreneurs, using the WP:AFC method of submission is the best route to follow as I do not believe you fully understand WP:GNG yet. I’m sorry if this may sound condescending. Feel free to leave a me a message when in doubt. Celestina007 (talk) 22:06, 13 November 2020 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Anike lawal
Hello Omorodion1,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Anike lawal for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Anike lawal moved to draftspace
An article you recently created, Anike lawal, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hello, Omorodion1
Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username SuperSwift, and I thank you for your contributions.
I wanted to let you know, however, that I've proposed an article that you started, Adaeze Udensi, for deletion because it meets one or more of our deletion criteria, and I don't think that it is suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. The particular issue can be found in the notice that is now visible at the top of the article.
If you wish to contest the deletion:
- Edit the page
- Remove the text that looks like this:
{{proposed deletion/dated...}}
- Click the button.
If you object to the article's deletion, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the issues raised in the deletion notice. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|SuperSwift}}
. And remember to sign your reply with ~~~~
. Thanks!

- @SuperSwift: Thank you very much for being nice with your words. I'm glad to know that I'm welcome to Wikipedia and that my contributions are actually appreciated. I had earlier made up my mind to withdraw from editing in Wikipedia because of the rude and condescending attitude of User:Celestina007 who even considered my reply to her message to be 'tales'. However, I will try to edit the article to see how I can improve it. Permit me to add that I loose nothing if the article is deleted in the end, contrary to the believe of User:Celestina007 and User:Alexandermcnabb. Thanks Omorodion1 (talk) 18:22, 18 November 2020 (UTC)
Caution
Please take care not to use the infobox officeholder format whilst creating articles on entrepreneurs, rather, use the infobox person format. The former is reserved for biographical articles on politicians and not for entrepreneurs. Thank you. Celestina007 (talk) 18:34, 18 November 2020 (UTC)
- @Celestina007: Thanks for the heads up. Please how do I identify the difference between both at a glance?
- I assume you copy-pasted the office-holder format from an article on a politician & have ran with that ever since. It’s not a bad idea though but you just have to use it for politicians. Anyway to answer your question, when you click on the pen-like image, you have an option to switch from source editing to visual editing mode and vice versa(make sure you are in the source editing mode) in the source editing mode, it’s more often than not, the first thing you see. An example is this; {{Infobox person}}, you’d observe than in your own articles what you have been using is; {{Infobox officeholder}}, simply replace the officeholder to person and you’d be straight. Let me know if you don’t still understand. Celestina007 (talk) 19:05, 18 November 2020 (UTC)
- @Celestina007: Many thanks. I totally understand now. Regards. Omorodion1 (talk) 19:17, 18 November 2020 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Deb. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective.
