Actually, there's no need to edit it. My comments can just as well go here.

The principle is one I can readily support, but I am also prepared to compromise. In other words, I don't object strongly to binary use of MB provided that it is made explicit every time it is used. I do object strongly to the deprecation of the best possible tool available to us to do that (the MiB). In a nutshell, I would be more comfortable with the deprecation of MB to mean 10242 B than I am with the deprecation of MiB proposed elsewhere.

- do you really mean "centuries"? I'm not sure the prefixes go that far back. At least, I had the impression that mega- was a 20th century invention - but I guess kilo- does go back at least to Napoleon ...
- re early binary vs decimal use, take a look at timeline of binary prefixes. It's not well written but contains some useful facts.
- re Refs. 11-15. The wording gives the impression that this is an exhaustive list. I'm not suggesting that you should add more examples (5 is enough), but it needs to be made clear that that's all they are - just a few examples.
- pronunciation of GiB is "gibbi-byte" not "gibba-byte"
