Hello World!
March 2021
[edit]Hello, I'm SK2242. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on WillNE, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! SK2242 (talk) 11:08, 1 March 2021 (UTC)

[edit]Hi, I just wanted to point out that edits like this are not particularly helpful. You haven't made any improvements, you just added unnecessary spacing to raw text in the edit window. And especially since you didn't leave a summary to explain what you did and why you did it, numerous other editors will invariably look into the edit which is really just a waste of their time. This is not say that such changes would be ok if you had added a summary, or even made them while also making other changes that are actual improvements either, rather that it's best to just leave infobox markup, and most benign wikitext in raw form, alone altogether. If you want to make practice edits, you can use your sandbox. If need assistance with anything, just contact the Help Desk. Thank you - wolf 20:10, 20 November 2021 (UTC)
- Hello. I am sorry for this; I am new and this was a mistake. My intentions were to change some wording to make it easier to read. I am sorry for my mistake.

- Hello. I really don't know what went wrong with the added spaces. From my point of view I just changed some text from "two" to "2x". Again, this was a genuine mistake. Sorry for all these problems. Is there a way I can't easily revert these mistakes. OliApollo OliApollo (talk) 21:41, 20 November 2021 (UTC)
- Often new users will tinker with the wiki-text. The changes you made didn't have an impact on the article itself, but that's kind of the point. Making changes to the raw text when there is no real benefit serves no purpose. But along with that, and as I mentioned, it's not that your edit adversely affected the page, it was more the fact that after you made that edit, others will review it (especially those watching the page), and it turns out to be somewhat of waste of their time. It's not a huge deal. Multiple apologies and posts both here and the article talk page are not necessary. My hope was that you would just try to make more useful edits going forward. Check out the 'welcome' notice posted at the top of this page. There is a lot of useful info there to help you learn your way around. I would also recommend checking out the Teahouse, a meeting place and resource for beginners. Have a nice day - wolf 23:01, 20 November 2021 (UTC)

[edit]Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed your recent edit to RAF Fylingdales does not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits a summary may be quite brief.
The edit summary field looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary, and then click the "Save" button. Please PLEASE use edit summaries. I reverted you because I honestly cannot see why "intoxicated" is better than "drunk" – in fact I think it is worse – but if you had used an ES at least there would be something to discuss! Hope this helps, cheers, DBaK (talk) 10:04, 7 November 2022 (UTC)
