A tag has been placed on Raymond Warren, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Tellyaddict 12:45, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
Raymond Warren (again)
[edit]Hi there. Thank you for creating Raymond Warren, which (in my opinion only) should meet Wikipedia's notability criteria. I have added the article to categories and tagged it as a stub, which should make it easier for other editors to find it and improve it.
Please be aware that it is bad practice to remove a speedy delete tag from a page you created yourself - even if you've added hangon beforehand. This prevents conflicts of interest as well as ensuring that articles of questioned notability are considered for deletion even if they turn out to meet our criteria in the end.
The next step is to cite sources verifying the information in the article. I've googled for Raymond Warren and there seems to be plenty of material out there. Please add sources to the article, or it may yet be deleted! Thank you. — mholland 18:52, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
Raymond warren
[edit]Hi, I have re-nominated the article for speedy deletion because I believe that it meets the WP:BIO policy, even though its properly cited etc it still seems to be a biography of a person who seems to have none, or very little relevance to Wikipedia. If you would like to speak about this matter anymore the please feel free to contact me on my Talk Page. Cheers.... Tellyaddict 15:50, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
- OK, I respect your opinion on this matter!
Notability of Michael Edwards (Composer)
[edit]Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Michael Edwards (Composer), by Kww (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Michael Edwards (Composer) seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Michael Edwards (Composer), please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 13:53, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have perfomed a web search with the contents of Michael Edwards (Composer), and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.sumtone.com/bio.php?id=1. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot 12:39, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
