Speedy deletion nomination of The israel-Kurdistan friendship league
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on The israel-Kurdistan friendship league requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. MAHABAD-THIS CITY had a substuntial Jewish community
[edit]Distinguished editors of Wikipedia. I have realized for quite some time that many cities, towns, villages, in both Iran and Iraq, and in the Middle East in general, that once were populated by Jews as well, appear in Wikipedia without the mention or the size of the Jewish community that at times had been part of the city for hundreds of years. Other communities that had Jewish community and this was not mentioned are (citing from Memory) Bijar, Bukan, Shino (Ushnoviyeh), Tiqab, Saqeez, Naqadeh, Miandob, Marageh. This is only from today. In my opinion, this is a serious fault. I am quite new and not very active n Wikipedia, but I have an idea that maybe in the guidelines for cities and towns and villages, stress should be made that the writers ( I don't want to think that the mention of the Jewish community was not inserted in purpose, but I do not know for certain that this is not the reason). for those who are interested in the subject in general I suggest reading E. Carr, "what is history", and B. Lewis, "history remembered, recovered, invented." There are so many articles and books on the subject of omitting history, but since the native Christians for example had been one-fourth of the population of the Ottoman Empire only a hundred years ago, and today compose 2 % at the most if I recall correctly (sorry if not) and since the overwhelming of the Jews who had been part pf the demography of many-hundreds of cities and villages in Arab countries, have left during the 20th century, and now there are hardly any Jews in these countries, I think this issue should be addressed and discussed by you, dear editors. thanks for your attention.
