- Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as those in Argo Community High School, but we regretfully cannot accept original research. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your information. Thanks for your efforts, and happy editing! --Elonka 02:32, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits are considered vandalism. If you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the work of others. Thank you. [1] --Elonka 22:09, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
- The only thing I edited since the last 'warning' you gave me, was your discussion page in response to it. Now correct me if I am wrong, but I am fairly certain that the discussion pages are fair game so long as I watch my tongue. As a matter of fact, I'm almost positive that the discussion pages are for discussing.
- Correct, as long as this discussion is done in a good faith manner, with no personal attacks or incivility. At the moment, I have not requested a block of your account(s) (including Konflxion (talk · contribs)), as it is my hope that you will cease your past behavior, and be able to contribute in a constructive manner from now on. In regards your edits to the high school pages, though some of them appeared to easily qualify as vandalism, other of your edits have been very constructive and useful, and I thank you for them. My main recommendation to you at this point is to be very careful that you have a clear, credible, and verifiable source for any information which you add. Please be careful not to add information from personal experience, as this is what is called "original research," which, even if true, is against Wikipedia policies (see WP:NOR). Thanks, and if you have any questions, please let me know. :) --Elonka 22:49, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
Courtesy note about ArbCom proceeding
[edit]Hiya, sorry to bother you, but I wanted to drop you a courtesy note to let you know about a current ArbCom proceeding where your name is briefly mentioned. If you are not familiar with ArbCom, please do not be alarmed. In real-world terms, this is sort of like stating that your name is being mentioned as one of the witnesses (or possibly even bystanders) to a case. ArbCom cases tend to be somewhat large and chaotic, but if you would like to watch the proceedings, you may wish to set Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Naming Conventions on your watchlist. Your own name is probably somewhere on the evidence page, or possibly at the workshop page. The case is currently in an "evidence-gathering" phase and has not yet reached the state of actual comment by arbitrators yet. My guess is it'll probably run for another month or so before a decision is finalized.
No action is needed on your part, this is just a courtesy note. If you would like to participate in the case though, you are more than welcome. You may wish to offer a statement with your view of events at the case's talkpage, or you can add evidence or participate in the workshop. Many editors routinely participate in ArbCom proceedings regardless of whether or not they are directly involved in the case, since ArbCom rulings are considered "binding" and may have ramifications in other parts of Wikipedia.
If you have any questions, let me know, or feel free to post at Wikipedia talk:Requests for arbitration/Naming Conventions. Best, Elonka 05:41, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
Thank you for your support in my Request for Adminship. Unfortunately the nomination did not succeed, but please rest assured that I am still in full support of the Wikipedia project, and I'll try again in a few months! If you ever have any questions or suggestions for me, please don't hesitate to contact me. Best wishes, --Elonka 06:30, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
