Welcome
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia, Of the universe! Thank you for your contributions. This is an encyclopedia, so remember that it's a necessity to include references listing reliable websites, newspapers, articles, books and other sources you have used to write or expand articles. Please understand that these sources should verify the information in a fair and accurate manner. However, you must not copy and paste text you find anywhere, except for short quotations, marked as such with quote marks and carefully cited to the source the quote was taken from. New articles and statements added to existing articles may be deleted by others if unreferenced or referenced poorly or if they are copyright violations. See referencing for beginners for more details.

[edit]Important Notice
[edit]This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in gender-related disputes or controversies or in people associated with them. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

[edit]Thank you for adding Short descriptions to articles. However, many of these descriptions have started with a lower case letter. Please read the guidelines at WP:SDFORMAT — GhostInTheMachine talk to me 21:06, 4 April 2022 (UTC)

Responding to edit requests
[edit]Hey, you responded to an edit request on Talk:Erling Haaland, but didn't change the status of the request to answered. Maybe you simply forgot, but in case you're not aware you need to go into the source and manually change the ″answered″ from ″no″ to ″yes″. Cheers. --TylerBurden (talk) 09:12, 16 June 2022 (UTC)
Please see history of Pooja Hegde. On 27 August 2022, I added many reliable sources. But ArvindPalaskar simply removed my edits. I added more than 5000 bytes. Requesting you to please restore this revision[1]. 103.161.55.218 (talk) 02:35, 5 September 2022 (UTC)
- I will want to read through and verify your edits before I reinstate them, and I won't have time to do so before next weekend. If you want it to be done faster, then I recommend copy-pasting the relevant parts into the talk page and reinstating the semi-protected edit request. Of the universe (talk) 14:08, 5 September 2022 (UTC)
- Take your own time. Because all my edits are with reliable sources. 103.70.199.126 (talk) 07:32, 6 September 2022 (UTC)

- Also, you may want to make an account, so that you're not blocked from editing semi-protected pages. It only takes 4 days and 10 edits to become autoconfirmed. Of the universe (talk) 14:16, 5 September 2022 (UTC)
- I don't have much, more than 10 edits to contribute to Wikipedia. So I can't became autoconfirmed user. 103.70.199.126 (talk) 07:31, 6 September 2022 (UTC)

Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article Society you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Message delivered by ChristieBot, on behalf of Ganesha811 -- Ganesha811 (talk) 21:23, 2 January 2024 (UTC)
@Of the universe Hey, I don't think I'll be able to finish the last task for promoting the Society article to GA (see Criteria 3a). Do you think you can handle it? I'm asking 'cause I know Ganesha811 is gonna close the GA at around the end of January, which is in a few days. — Alex26337 (talk) 13:40, 30 January 2024 (UTC)
Contentious topic alert - gender and sexuality
[edit]You have recently made edits related to gender-related disputes or controversies or people associated with them. This is a standard message to inform you that gender-related disputes or controversies or people associated with them is a designated contentious topic. This message does not imply that there are any issues with your editing. Contentious topics are the successor to the former discretionary sanctions system, which you may be aware of. For more information about the contentious topics system, please see Wikipedia:Contentious topics. For a summary of difference between the former and new system, see WP:CTVSDS. Adding verification failed and citation needed tags
[edit]Hey.
Please be a little more careful when adding {{verification failed}} and {{citation needed}} to articles. While the second citation needed tag in this edit was appropriate and I've now added a citation to support it (so thanks :) ), the first was not. Please see MOS:LEADCITE for why article leads may not need citations when the content is adequately cited in the article body. As for the failed verification in this edit, the citation supports that sentence almost exactly, in paragraph 9 of its Discussion section. While that's maybe a little too close to the source's exact wording per WP:COPYVIO and WP:CLOP, it is nonetheless verifiable that the source supports that particular piece of content.
Otherwise keep up the good work you're doing elsewhere :) Sideswipe9th (talk) 01:20, 17 January 2024 (UTC)
- @Sideswipe9th, Thanks. I added the {{citation needed}} to the lead because the statement was not supported by any citation in the body, which I believe is in keeping with LEADCITE.
- Thank you for catching my mistake wrt the {{verification failed}} tag --- I'm not sure how I missed that, I did read the whole paper.
- Likewise, keep up the good work :) Of the universe (talk) 02:59, 17 January 2024 (UTC)

What a legendary feat to take a WP:VA1 article to WP:GA status as your first GA. My first edit is now a WP:FL, but not a vital subject like this. I hope this feat portends great accomplishments as a wikipedian. Even if it doesn't you have cemented your legend with a single editorial subject. DYK for Society
[edit]On 7 March 2024, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Society, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the use of trade in prehistoric society may have given humans an evolutionary advantage over Neanderthals? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Society. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Society), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
