Welcome!

Hello, Oconostota, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{helpme}} before the question. Again, welcome!

That said, please be careful of where you create your articles. Template space and template talk space are not for that, and replacing one article with an identically-named article about a completely different subject is not a good thing. DS (talk) 14:30, 3 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I was just looking over your edits to the Lucy Walker steamboat disaster. While enthusiasm and energy are good, please try to take greater care to ensure that your edits are free of typographical errors, are properly sourced, and are in keeping with the tone and style of Wikipedia. I didn't want to upend all of your efforts so I left in a lot of material that really doesn't fit, like that long list of survivors. I may or may not take a crack at streamlining your edits more later. In any case, your contributions are welcome but please try to ensure that with each edit you are making the article better, and not making additional work for others. Thanks and good luck! Please do not add content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did to Cheeseekau. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you.Deconstructhis (talk) 21:22, 22 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
