[edit]- I appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia but you can't go around adding the "Nigerian hip hop singers" category to the pages of every Nigerian public figures. versace1608 (talk) 23:40, 28 December 2013 (UTC)
The category is also created for singers who has contributed to hip hop songs especially singing choruses of hip hop songs..recall that Flavour and M.I song? or Flavour and Nigga Raw? something like that. Oby Ndigwe (talk) 02:04, 29 December 2013 (UTC)
- "Nigerian hip hop singers" implies singers who happens to be hip hop artists. I understand that you're trying to create more categories to add to these articles but you must add categories that correlates with the artist and style of music they make. The song Flavour and M.I made titled "Number One" is primarily a high life song. the hook and beat are highlife; only the verses are rap. At the end of the day, Flavour is not a rapper so adding the category "Nigerian hip hop singers" to his article isn't applicable. You should create a "Nigerian highlife singers" category and add artists that makes highlife music. Hope you understand that we need to stick to specifics so as to not confuse readers or gave them the impression that Flavour or Omotola are Nigerian "Hip hop singers". versace1608 (talk) 07:57, 29 December 2013 (UTC)
