Episode ordering
[edit]If you are interested, there is a previous discussion regarding this at Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style/Television/Archive 12#Preferred Order of Episodes- ordering by airdate would be the correct way, not by production code (again, what other articles do doesn't dictate what is done in articles, and can certainly be incorrect as well.
As I also mentioned in the edit summary, the SpongeBob episodes really should be ordered by airdate and not production codes/order, but that would take a massive amount of time/work given how many seasons/episodes there are now- would certainly be easier if it were only around 1-3 seasons, but it's at season 13 now.
It would be best to discuss the issue on the talk page rather than edit warring over your preferred ordering. Thank you. Magitroopa (talk) 20:31, 14 July 2021 (UTC)
- And in regards to this, the production codes are listed on The Futon Critic and are correct. They do not just randomly make them up, this is what the network provides to them. You can see Talk:ICarly (2021 TV series)#The Futon Critic for a similar discussion, but 'different' production codes would need to be WP:RS reliably sourced. Some television shows/networks include production codes in the end credits, which can then be used per WP:PRIMARY. Nickelodeon does not do this, and thus, we go by production codes listed on The Futon Critic. Magitroopa (talk) 20:40, 14 July 2021 (UTC)
Johnny Test
[edit]Listen hear me out. Just because it has a separate page doesn't make it a brand new show, Netflix did that in past before like with Justin Time and Captain Underpants, not to mention many people call it season 7 even official articles (example: https://www.bsckids.com/2021/06/johnny-test-new-series-on-netflix/), there is also a call back to one of the previous seasons, some sources also say it's another season. Just because it's separate doesn't mean it's a different show.
- Lucifer was picked up by netflix, but the series is on the same page as the network produced seasons. It's a new Johnny Test series, a sequel series, hence the new designs and mostly new staff, there was a good 6 year hiatus inbetween the shows too. Again, the best example to compare to is Lucifer, they didn't do that for Johnny Test, and it's under its own page and season 1. Also next time please leave a signature. Thanks. - OL.Wise.Editor (talk) 17:56, 16 July 2021 (UTC)
