Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Høgni Mohr has been reverted.
Your edit here to Høgni Mohr was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://birkblog.blogspot.com/search?q=slepp+tær+til+heiti+fani) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, fansite, or similar site (see 'Links to avoid', #11), then please check the information on the external site thoroughly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creator's copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Are you a paid editor with a conflict of interest?

[edit]

Hello Nudlavirkid. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, and that you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to Black hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Nudlavirkid. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Nudlavirkid|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, please do not edit further until you answer this message. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 12:02, 30 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Nudlavirkid, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Nudlavirkid|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 18:59, 31 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Your position as the public relations firm Nudlavirkid means that you must disclosure your paid contributions and conflict of interest as described above. — Frayæ (Talk/Spjall) 20:43, 31 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest

[edit]

You may be blocked from editing without further warning if you make any further edits without responding to the inquiry you received regarding undisclosed paid editing.

You have failed to respond to the requests made above to declare your conflict of interest. Please do so immediately. After that, please remove the text you have added back to the article, which is promotional and unsuitable for inclusion in an encyclopedia. Failure to remove it will result in your being reported to the Administrators' noticeboard, which will likely result in your being blocked from editing, with the article probably being deleted in its entirety. Blocked from editing

[edit]

I have blocked this account from editing until there is a full response to the questions about paid editing and conflict of interest posed above. The issue of the username inappropriately matching the name of a company needs to be resolved as well. Editing on this page is still permitted, allowing a response here. -- Ed (Edgar181) 12:53, 1 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked from editing

[edit]

(Edgar181) What can I do to be unblocked? I am paid to create a neutral wikipedia page for a client and this is the first one. Not for sale purposes. attempts have been made to make this fact clear, but apparently this did not work. Is it possible for you to delete the Høgni Mohr wikipedia page (Nudlavirkid)

Thank you for responding. To start, as noted above, since you are being paid to edit Wikipedia you are required to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation. Please specify. Also, I'm concerned about the potential use of multiple accounts. Have you or anyone else at your company been editing using the account User:Rolsenl? -- Ed (Edgar181) 20:02, 2 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

(Edgar181) Thank you for your response. Off course. I am new to wikipedia, and am having trouble figuring out, how to disclose my employer client affliation. Nudlavirkið is a communication agency. We have been given the opportunity to give Høgni Mohr (author) an online presence, where a Wikipedia page is one of the steps. There are no sales purposes, but I understand now how some of the sources used could be problematic. These will be changed immediately, if we were to be unblocked. rolsenl is my own private user, that was used because the Høgne Mohr wikipage looks bad at the moment. The account rolsenl will not be used again for these purposes. If there continues to be a problem for us to be unblocked, could you delete the Høgni Mohr page. Because, as mentioned, it looks bad at the moment.

  • By "looks bad" I assume you mean it doesn't look like your advert. I rewrote it, and it is fine. A better image would be nice I think, we can't use one that barely shows the subject. You can in your capacity as building a web presence consider getting such an image and uploading it. I would not recommend continuing the attempt to change the article back to your prefered version. If there is a specific reason it "looks bad" that can be fixed without reverting back to what you wrote before then perhaps that could be accommodated. — Frayæ (Talk/Spjall) 22:20, 4 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Frayæ (Talk/Spjall) "Looks bad" might be a poor choice of words on my part. I can see that there are some issues with the sources. Does it mean that my accout has been unblocked?

Your account is still blocked for the moment, until an administrator is satisfied that the issues noted above have been resolved and that your further editing would be constructive.
I was not overly concerned about the sources, admittedly most of them are unreliable but that is not a major concern here. What exactly is the problem with the sources? — Frayæ (Talk/Spjall) 22:43, 4 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Frayæ (Talk/Spjall)(Edgar181) I tried to post this

On User:Nudlavirkid as described above. However this can not be done now that I am blocked from editing. Where do I disclose this now? And also I tried to change the username as requested, which I am also blocked from doing (Nudlavirkid)

Nudlavirkid, I have taken the liberty of adding your suggested text to your user page. I have now unblocked this account to allow editing, but there are still some issues that need to be addressed before you do so. First, can you clarify what is your relationship to the account User:Rolsenl? Also, since Wikipedia does not permit usernames to match the name of a company, you will need to have your username changed (easiest instructions are at Wikipedia:Changing username/Simple). After that, if you wish to edit Wikipedia, please make certain that your actions are compliant with Wikipedia's policies regarding conflict of interest and paid editing which are linked in the messages above. At the very least you should not directly edit Høgni Mohr, but rather make suggestions using the article's talk age. Regards, -- Ed (Edgar181) 13:04, 5 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

EdThank you very much for activating this user again. I have sent a request for a new username. If accepted, the new name will be Nudlan. User:Rolsenl is my own private user outside work. It will not be used again. Is there no way that I will be allowed to edit Høgni Mohrs wikipedia page? Frayæ The current wikipedia page has some issues with the sources. Number 1 and 11 do not refer to anything regarding the page, so if they could be removed it would be very helpful(Nudlavirkid).
