February 2010

Hello Npdoty. You tagged a page for speedy deletion, but you did not notify the article's creator that it had been so tagged. There is strong consensus that the creators of articles tagged for speedy deletion should be warned and that the person placing the tag has that responsibility. Hmm... I don't believe I did tag the article for speedy deletion (or even a proposed non-controversial deletion), I just thought we should have a discussion (the fourth process described here: Wikipedia:Deletion_policy#Processes). I also did try to post a notification on your talk page as soon as I had finished filling out the templates, but you had already reverted my deletion discussion notice and updated my talk page before I was able to post the notification on your talk page. :) Anyway, sorry for the delay and I hope everything is in the right place now. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. FYI: I've filed a sockpuppet investigation for Agesworthuser‎, Proofallgames, and 218.186.9.11. I was suspicious but today Agesworthuser forgot that he or she was logged out when making some edits as 218.186.9.11; he or she not only edited what Agesworthuser had written earlier (not a big deal; may have just forgotten that he or she was logged out) but then he or she proved bad faith by then leaving a message purporting to be a different user in support of Agesworthuser.

I'm ok with people that disagree with me, even if they so vehemently. But this person is lying to us and trying to cheat the system. I'm very sorry that so much of your time has been wasted! :( ElKevbo (talk) 21:00, 28 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
