“The Batman” is the official title for now

[edit]

Looking back at Talk: The Batman (film), I saw that you said “The Batman” is not the official title. Well it is the official title according to someone...for now. It might be changed. 2601:205:4100:AB88:9920:6FB2:4249:B5A1 (talk) 01:49, 1 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

... Reverted your edit. Look at the edit history and you'll see one change. And don't SHOUT (capital letters) one someone did one thing. It's not like people went back and forth to revert your edit. And Wikipedia is a place where all editors can work on something, and help one another. If something has changed you don't like, then go and do it properly and professionally yourself without SHOUTING. Charlr6 (talk) 11:57, 19 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Mercury & Sacha Baron Cohen

[edit]

It was a joke. Please see Brian May's website; http://brianmay.com/whatsnew.html

"There’s a report of the evening here,

http://www.musicweek.com/news/read/queen-pay-tribute-to-illustrious-and-imitable-manager/061326

but it doesn’t mention a small joke that Jim threw in during his acceptance speech. He said that, in response to enquiries about the progress on the Freddie feature film, that Sacha Baron Cohen had been re-engaged to write, produce, and direct the film, as well as starring in all four major roles ! I’m afraid some folks might have taken it seriously !"

I just noticed that you moved this to a draft. I'm really sorry I butted in and did some work on it! I saw the page when it first went live in the article space and didn't notice your edit to it. You may be interested in viewing my thoughts on notability on the talk page, which was written before I noticed this was a draft. BU Rob13 (talk) 03:59, 12 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Not a problem man! Yeah the page instantly w3nt to the main page and then I had to swiftly move it to a draft. I'm working on it more in my sandbox as we speak and I'm compiling the sources for it as well. Thanks for working on it with m3 and I hope we can continue to expand on it BU Rob13! • I ended up declining the speedy and adding sources before I really looked at the talk page. I've added sources and moved it back to the mainspace, then added the poster. I debated just deleting it after I saw the note, but you hadn't really begun the sandbox entry yet so I figured that I'd just go ahead and leave it. I would recommend withdrawing your Articles for creation request, as I can assure you that the page will not be moved to the mainspace, due to Wikipedia:NFF, detailing that films that have not been confirmed by reliable sources to have commenced principal photography should not have their own articles, as budget issues, scripting issues and casting issues can interfere with a project well ahead of its intended filming date. Effort put in by Wikipedia editors

[edit]

Hey, I just saw your little jab at Talk:Logan (film)#Length of page and amount of content from the other day, and I just wanted to drop a quick response here. All Wikipedia editors are volunteers, editing because they want to. Therefore, they are not under any obligation to do anything specific. If editors want to put a lot of time into a certain thing, then that is there choice, and it seems unfair to get mad at them for not putting equivalent time into something that you wish they had.

The editors of the Marvel Cinematic Universe articles, including myself, edit those pages because we want to. I think most of that group keep an eye on the X-Men stuff as well, but aren't actively involved there. So though I too would like all the X-Men articles to be at the same high standard as the MCU pages, there isn't quite the support or the community for that to happen at the moment. I know that sucks, and I understand you getting annoyed at it, but trying to say that all of us who edit the MCU pages are deliberately making pages like Logan (film) "look like crap" is just a false and rude accusation. - adamstom97 (talk) 02:52, 17 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
