Thanks for uploading Image:Wallmaster.PNG. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you. Admrb♉ltz (T | C) 23:45, 22 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry about this. I wasn't aware that the image I uploaded was possibly copyrighted by another source. If it was, please accept my sincere apology. I had no idea that it was copyrighted. I was under the impression that it was created and edited by a fan of the game. I found it on a Google search. I didn't know that Google sometimes included copyrighted material in their search results. I hope that this doesn't result in any negative consequences for the Wiki. Please let me know if there is any way I can help you with this problem.--ÑøζζłεΜαń 14:33, 29 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Keys to the Kingdom Articles

[edit]

Well done and thankyou for the work on the Keys to the Kingdom articles. The series is fascinating and needs detailed information, constant updates and vigilant creation/editing of new and old articles. Thanks for your great work, especially the articles you created which allowed for sme recent changes. I hope that we, with the other contributors can continue to expand it into a detailed and insightful series of articles. --Aegwyn 08:41, 15 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank youi for your comment. I'm glad to help contribute to a database concerning such an excellent series of books. Let me know if you need any help with anything.--ÑøζζłεΜαń 22:14, 16 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

We can't use articles that are just copied from the web, sorry. You have to write them in your own words. Gdr 18:13, 21 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I was under the impression that if the text was not under copyright and if you had permissin from the site adminns then it would be alright to take excerpts from various articles on another website and add them to an article on Wikipedia.--ÑøζζłεΜαń 19:09, 21 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Are you claiming (a) the text in this case is not under copyright and (b) you have been given permission by the author? Gdr 11:31, 22 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I was given permission by the author.--ÑøζζłεΜαń 14:41, 22 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If you've been given permission by the author, that would be fine. But you need to present some evidence about this permission (for example, you could ask the author to put a note on their website to the effect that the text of the article is released under the GFDL). Gdr 20:00, 22 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'll see what I can do.--ÑøζζłεΜαń 22:11, 22 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi nozzleman- check out Wikipedia:Confirmation of permission for how to go about confirming that you've got permission. you have to send this info to the wikimedia PR department, as described on the page. If you want it to remain, i'd suggest you get a move on, it's been listed for almost three weeks and is currently one of the oldest items in the copyright problems backlog. So drop me a note on my talk page if you are currently pursuing this; or, if not, so i can go ahead and try to clean up the history of Eastern Cougar. Otherwise, the page will info will probably be deleted in a few days. thanks. --He:ah? 05:34, 9 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, i've deleted it for now, and replaced it with a stub. as it's been a while and it hasn't been sorted out, it had to go . . . Deletions can be undone no problem, so if you do get this stuff sorted out, just let me know and i can restore the page. The current stub is better than a big copyvio warning . . . --He:ah? 18:49, 10 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Okay. Thanks.

thanks for your note about the puma pic... You're welcome - nice to know someone's using it. Pity it had to be in a zoo, but then... seglea 21:38, 10 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Orange_Cat01.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

LCD

[edit]

By the way, does anyone know what causes that ripple like thing when I touch the LCD screen? Well, I'm not an expert on it; LCD probably has more info; but the stuff in an LCD screen is really small crystals. When you run electricity through these crystals, they light up. Its a layer of crystals then beneath it a layer of... stuff that provides the electric charge, slightly seperated. When you touch the screen, the crystal layer makes contact with "stuff" layer and causes the brightening ripple effect. At least, thats what I think, and what the Cabal tells me. Mopper Speak! 00:51, 10 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Cool. I've always been curious about that.--ÑøζζłεΜαń 21:08, 10 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Cat pic

[edit]

Hi Nozzleman,
Glad you liked the pic! You uploaded it with the wrong licence though, I licence my images under GFDL not free copyright. I've fixed it now though. --Fir0002 www 12:12, 11 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Okay. Thanks for the clearance.--ÑøζζłεΜαń 12:40, 11 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Nozzleman. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:Cell by Stephen King.jpg) was found at the following location: User:Nozzleman. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image or media to replace it with, and or remove the image from your userspace. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 20:03, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Arthur Penhaligon

[edit]

I've nominated Arthur Penhaligon, an article you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that Arthur Penhaligon satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion; I have explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Arthur Penhaligon and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Arthur Penhaligon during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Alcemáe TC 06:26, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The article Secondary Realms has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unsourced original research fancruft.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. /Blaxthos ( t / c ) 16:37, 24 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
