Spelling
Hi,
You have misspelled my name in this comment. And thanks for spending time to analyze the Afd. --Anbu121 (talk me) 19:46, 23 December 2012 (UTC)
- Sorry about that, it's fixed now. Just couldn't see letting a technical inaccuracy like that go uncontested that early in the process. It's likely others may have simply accepted it at face value. Now, hopefully, others will check before juming on a bandwagon with a broken wheel. --Nouniquenames 20:11, 23 December 2012 (UTC)
Consensus against "see also"
Please see WP:MEDMOS. Cheers Doc James (talk · contribs · email) (if I write on your page reply on mine) 04:31, 24 December 2012 (UTC)
- Yep. That page does have a "See Also" section. Can't see where it says not to put one in. --Nouniquenames 04:34, 24 December 2012 (UTC)
- This line "See also: Avoid the See also section when possible; prefer wikilinks in the main article and navigation templates at the end." Thus the see also section has been removed. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) (if I write on your page reply on mine) 04:35, 24 December 2012 (UTC)

Primary sources strongly discouraged
Hi Nouniquenames, I just needed to mention: Please do not use a primary source, like "Sutureless prepuceplasty with wound healing by second intention: An alternative surgical approach in children's phimosis treatment", to "counter" a secondary source. I've seen this happen a few times now with your edits at circumcision. Also, please don't use a religious primary text to support any article content anywhere. If you're unclear about primary vs. secondary sources, I can try to explain it in some detail if you'd like. Appreciate it... Hope you and yours have a great holiday. Cheers... Zad68
05:20, 24 December 2012 (UTC)
- And the same to you! I tried to explain at the talk page both what I did and why. Hopefully the differences in our views as to the content of the article will improve it. Also, I do appreciate you addressing me with your concerns about my edits. Thank you! --Nouniquenames 05:27, 24 December 2012 (UTC)
- Well, SandyGeorgia and I both replied with the same comment about how your last revert put back content supported by primary sources, and it's not what we're looking for. You're at three reverts there... you're an experienced editor and appear to be grooming for an RFA, so you don't need a template, but I'd like you to consider undoing your last revert and listening to what we're saying about the primary sources. I'm heading to bed, catch you later...
Zad68
05:36, 24 December 2012 (UTC)- It might be hard to get 3rr due to the difference in the versions and the good-faith attempt at changing the form to better accommodate concerns. That said, edit warring never helped an article. Once I finish my talk page comment there, I'll self-revert. --Nouniquenames 05:42, 24 December 2012 (UTC)

- Sorry for butting in here. Just wanted to say I am surprised to see you, Nouniquenames, participating in what appears to be a medical dispute. You have been holding yourself out to be a telecom expert and have been heavily involved in discussion and nomination of those types of articles for deletion at wikpedia. Is there something I am missing? Are you an expert in those two fields? Ottawahitech (talk) 14:24, 25 December 2012 (UTC)
- Never claimed to be an expert in either. Being an expert is unnecessary to look at (and for) sources. Interestingly, I do have formal training in both telecoms and medicine. Not saying I'd call myself an expert, just that I've some formal training combined with work experience. More of both with medical than telecoms, in fact. --Nouniquenames 14:50, 25 December 2012 (UTC)

Another easy one
Hi Noun. You mentioned in the past you would be willing to help out with AfC/Request Edits that are easy. I wanted to point out the proposed re-write on the Talk page of JMP (statistical software). Both because the COI issue is easy, since we are making it dramatically less promotional and because you may have an opinion on my use of images as you have in the past.
We plan to take it to GA, so this is a first draft. Even now I'm seeing it could use a sentence about User Groups and a slightly shorter lead, but this will all come out in a Peer Review as GA preparation. CorporateM (Talk) 14:33, 28 December 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks. If you have any questions, let me know. Many of the sources for this kind of technical topic are less mainstream, so I submit it with somewhat of an expectation of discussing the sources. ;-) CorporateM (Talk) 14:59, 28 December 2012 (UTC)
- I'm done mucking about with it for now, and left some notes on talk. I didn't adjust the lead, as the existing one was sourced and all. It should be changed, probably, but I don't know to what right now. I dropped one of the screengrabs; the other is in for now (but may or may not survive to GA). --Nouniquenames 15:14, 28 December 2012 (UTC)
- What are your thoughts on cropping the images so they could be smaller? For example, the modern screenshot could be cropped so it just shows one display instead of three. CorporateM (Talk) 15:49, 28 December 2012 (UTC)
- By not showing as much, I think that might be detrimental. Just my opinion, though. --Nouniquenames 05:58, 30 December 2012 (UTC)

I have removed the comment but it was a reasonable question
The question of you both being the same user was a reasonable question given that both accounts had highly similar user name templates with three colours for each of three words that none of which were spaced, and that two users with such a pattern of template were on the same discussion thread. However you are correct that there is no evidence of similar editing behaviour beyond the coincidence of both you and the other user with highly similar user name templates.--R-41 (talk) 14:42, 7 January 2013 (UTC)
Working out the details at Wikipedia:Today's article for improvement
The RFC for TAFI is nearing it's conclusion, and it's time to hammer out the details over at the project's talk page. There are several details of the project that would do well with wider input and participation, such as the article nomination and selection process, the amount and type of articles displayed, the implementation on the main page and other things. I would like to invite you to comment there if you continue to be interested in TAFI's development. --NickPenguin(contribs) 02:44, 8 January 2013 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Esfenvalerate, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ppm (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Please do not do that. While I can understand a hope to reduce "drama" in this area, I don't anticipate your closure will actually have that effect over the long term. AfC - Viralheat
Hi Noun. Call me selfish and needy, but I have an AfC in the queue for Viralheat with non-free images for the logo[2] and screenshot[3] that are going to expire in a couple days and I was wondering if you could review the article before the files get deleted. User:VernoWhitney keeps (quite rightfully) hand-slapping me for putting non-free images in draft space, but it makes it quite a juggling act while following the WP:BRIGHTLINE. Templates
Hey Noun. A few things I thought you may have an interest in:
- I started an RFC regarding the Extant Organization template[4] for which you had commented in the AfD.
- John Broughton said he would try to look at the JMP (draft 2) piece over the weekend, but didn't get around to it. Do you think you could do the article-space merge? (unless you feel it needs improvement before being ready)
- I'm also whipping WikiProject Marketing & Advertising into shape, so I can start adding marketing topics I work on to the WikiProject with ranks and such. I'm currently trying to get this[5] table to work and I remember you were a huge technical help on the Request Edit templates.
No obligation to any or all, just a heads up. Though the JMP Request Edit is three weeks old. I don't think anyone is on top of the queue. CorporateM (Talk) 17:15, 5 February 2013 (UTC)

The article Hissho Sushi has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Was accepted in AFC by an inexperienced editor after previously being declined as being written like an advertisement. There is insufficient demonstration that the topic is notable. The purpose of this page appears to be to promote the company and its leadership.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 18:58, 27 September 2013 (UTC)

When you press on the archives they are out of order. I'd be most grateful. Or is there a place that would be best to ask about it.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
