Hi, NotOnIsraPal. I noticed you have taken an interest in Himmler, and have added quite a bit of material from Longerich in the last couple of days. While I appreciate your efforts, I gotta tell you most of it is not suitable for inclusion in the article. The main problem is it's far too long and detailed for a summary article of this size. Your addition, as it stands right now, would add 1072 words to an article that is already 7473 words. The recommended upper limit for a Wikipedia article is about 10000 words; articles larger than that become problematic for users trying to access it from mobile devices. The material you have prepared so far only covers about a year and a half of time, and if you carry on at the present rate, we will end up way over the limit. Just to let you know where I think we should be at: Hitler is some 11,200 words and Göring is about 6200 and Goebbels is about 9500. So we should be striving for a length of some 8000 to 9000 words at Himmler.

You likely did not realise it, but right now I am preparing the article for nomination for Good Article, and have a copy of Longerich here and a copy of Manvell-Fraenkel too. I also have a set of Evans here and Shirer as more general references, and access to more at the library. I have placed a copy of the removed text at User:Diannaa/sandbox so it will be easy for you to copy to your own sandbox or external editor for further work. Please accept my apologies if this action has hurt your feelings. -- Dianna (talk) 20:10, 4 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello

[edit]

I notice you have me listed as a contact on your user page. I have no idea who you are, and I'm not authorized to give anyone an "indefinite ban" and your claim to this effect is misleading. I have deleted your user page comments to this effect. Please take the time to explain this here. Dennis Brown - © 01:09, 5 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked

[edit]
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for Abusing multiple accounts and block evasion, per Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Iloveandrea. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

Hey! The indefinite ban from all editing was totally uncalled for; I've been behaving with this account. See for yourself! Not touched Israel-Palestine, my BLP adds are problem-free, and I am being nice to people. I even put up a nice little warning on my user page so anyone could keep a check on my behaviour. You now have a new article thanks to me: Foreign and Commonwealth Office migrated archives. Re: what Dianna said: "NotOnIsraPal commenced editing on May 22. His user page implies that he is editing with the permission and/or knowledge of administrator Dennis Brown, but I have confirmed that no such permission was given. On the Heinrich Himmler talk page, NotOnIsraPal says he added information to the Albert Speer article sourced to Adam Tooze's book, but NotOnIsraPal has never edited the Speer article." So on the one hand I'm trying to sneakily avoid being detected as a sock puppet, but on the other I'm making no attempt to hide it? Dennis Brown owes me anyway for giving incorrect information to an admin that I'd said I'd stay away from I/P when I had given now such reassurance. See my last post to Iloveandrea's talk page. All I want to do is edit nicely now, give me a chance. ~ NotOnIsraPal (talk) 19:29, 5 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Checkuser has comfirmed this is a sock account, and you cannot create new accounts to evade a block - if you wish to resume editing, request unblock on your original account. (Your threat on that account, "As for not setting up a new account: you can be sure that I will! It will be easy enough to do so, and easy enough to get away with", was plain enough) -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 20:05, 5 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
