Guild of Copy Editors Invite
[edit]Greetings from the Guild of Copy Editors, a WikiProject dedicated to improving Wikipedia articles through copy editing. You are receiving this invitation because someone has noticed the quality of your edits and your commitment to improving the content of Wikipedia. Please see our project page for more information and reasons to join. You may wish to join us during our backlog elimination drives, help fulfill editor requests, or simply become a part of our supportive community. We hope to help you so that you can help make Wikipedia a better place! ~~~~ |
I know that you're still very new (welcome!), but I noticed your recent grammar edits and interest in fixing grammar, and I think that the Guild of Copy Editors would be a perfect WikiProject for you to join. I understand if you don't want to and you can always just pop in and edit something requiring copy editing from the Big Blue Button. A week-long blitz just started today if you're interested (you don't have to join the WikiProject to participate). Barnstars will be awarded (I think). Sorry if this messages is a little un-NPOV in favor of the GOCE (haha). GoldRomean (talk) 02:06, 17 June 2024 (UTC)
- I'll check this out. Normanhunter2 (talk) 12:33, 17 June 2024 (UTC)
Voice of Logic edit
[edit]Hello. You recently reverted an edit for "unexplained removal". I implore you to please look at the articles talk page and the edit history and understand that I merely returned the article to its neutral state numerous times after anonymous users tried to alter is using unfounded claims. Please return it to its previous state, this is the reason it was locked by an admin. 2A02:587:5468:2800:89C9:BE34:1274:4C91 (talk) 13:00, 23 June 2024 (UTC)
- Hello IP, I reverted your changes because you've been told that the websites were valid and in no way biased. I've also seen from the talk page that you've made personal attacks. I encourage you not to do that, as it's against our policy. Normanhunter2 (talk) 15:09, 23 June 2024 (UTC)
Either a troll or probably someone associated with the party? Have a look at the talk page, it's quite clear what is going on. Michalis1994 (talk) 13:12, 23 June 2024 (UTC)
- Haha not everyone who wants impartiality on articles is a troll my friend. Go take a look at the very definition of the far right and go look at the Greek parliament's right wing parties on Wikipedia. This is a disgrace for this site, reminiscent of, ironically, authoritarian propaganda. I guess if enough newspaper journalists say it your opinions become far right. 2A02:587:5468:2800:89C9:BE34:1274:4C91 (talk) 13:57, 23 June 2024 (UTC)

- Powerful arguments just like before. With enough name calling and the news media system having your back there's no label you cannot attach. 2A02:587:5468:2800:89C9:BE34:1274:4C91 (talk) 14:46, 23 June 2024 (UTC)

Copyedits
[edit]Hi Normanhunter2, thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. I think you should be more careful with your copyediting: many of your edits introduce awkward wording and incorrect changes, such as modifying the title of a citation or content of a quote, or changing "exiters" to "exciters". Helpful Raccoon (talk) 21:09, 23 June 2024 (UTC)
- I've been skimming the article too quickly, I'll pay more attention next time. Normanhunter2 (talk) 21:39, 23 June 2024 (UTC)
- Are you using AI or an automated tool to perform copy edits? Your most recent edit of Michael Schroeder had a few mistakes. Helpful Raccoon (talk) 22:38, 23 June 2024 (UTC)
- (Many of the changes in that particular edit were improvements, and I restored most of them.) Helpful Raccoon (talk) 01:43, 24 June 2024 (UTC)
- Some of the edits I change on articles may or may not have mistakes in them, I just try to aim to fix articles and get the brevity and clarity on articles that we need. Normanhunter2 (talk) 15:34, 24 June 2024 (UTC)
- It seems like you're editing more carefully now. Just one note, this edit changed some wikilinks causing them to break, which I fixed. Helpful Raccoon (talk) 00:28, 25 June 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks. Normanhunter2 (talk) 15:10, 26 June 2024 (UTC)

[edit]I apologize for my rudeness over there. Sorry – real-world stress creeping into our cosy world here. Cheers DBaK (talk) 18:16, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
- No worries. Normanhunter2 (talk) 20:14, 2 July 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Do not close theads at administrative noticeboards. You're too new and inexperienced.--Bbb23 (talk) 15:22, 4 July 2024 (UTC)
- @Bbb23, when is the right time to do so? Normanhunter2 (talk) 15:22, 4 July 2024 (UTC)
- It's not even time to think about it.--Bbb23 (talk) 15:23, 4 July 2024 (UTC)
- How? Normanhunter2 (talk) 15:24, 4 July 2024 (UTC)
- No idea what you mean by how. As long as I'm here, though, your edits as a new user are unusual. Do you have any other accounts at Wikipedia?--Bbb23 (talk) 15:39, 4 July 2024 (UTC)
- No, but I usually read some of the rules on Wikipedia almost all the time. Like this one here. I'm also wondering about your edit summary, because per the note I've linked, it states: Per WP:ADMINACCT, administrators are expected to promptly and civilly justify their decision to revert based on an assessment of the local consensus and application of Wikipedia policy and guidelines. Not to be rude or anything, but your edit summary here just says "inaccurate". Normanhunter2 (talk) 15:50, 4 July 2024 (UTC)
- Your close was inaccurate. Your response here only further reinforces my belief that this is not your first account.--Bbb23 (talk) 15:56, 4 July 2024 (UTC)
- What was inaccurate about my close? Also, enough of the assumptions here, this is my first and only account. Normanhunter2 (talk) 15:59, 4 July 2024 (UTC)

Request reason:
They failed to notify me of my false block. What justification do you have to block me on short notice?
Decline reason:
I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that
- the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
- the block is no longer necessary because you
- understand what you have been blocked for,
- will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
- will make useful contributions instead.
Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Bbb23 (talk) 22:54, 4 July 2024 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice:
{{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}
. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.
- I don't understand this at all. I'm shocked. How am I related to the user "TheAlienMan2002"? Normanhunter2 (talk) 22:19, 4 July 2024 (UTC)
- Hmmm, probably because you're the same person creating accounts to evade your block? Just spitballing. Revoking TPA before we descend into ironic lectures about integrity and respect.-- Ponyobons mots 22:31, 4 July 2024 (UTC)
