[edit]Hello. I wanted to let you know that your recent edit(s) to Travis Schuldt have been removed because you cited the information you added to IMDb. As discussed at WP:RS/IMDb, IMDb is considered a questionable source, and generally should not be used as a sole reference. You are welcome to re-add the information using a different reliable source, or with an additional source confirming the information from IMDb. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. DonIago (talk) 19:04, 17 January 2023 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Uptown Theatre", may not comply with our username policy. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Foobar Museum of Art". However, you are permitted to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you individually (not your role), such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87", but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company".
Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, service, or website, regardless of your username. Please also read our paid editing policy and our conflict of interest guideline. You have an obvious conflict of interest and you must declare it. If you work directly or indirectly for an organisation, or otherwise are acting on its behalf, you are very strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. If you are paid directly or indirectly by the organisation you are writing about, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:NormBender. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose â e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=NormBender|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If you are being compensated, please provide the required disclosure. Note that editing with a COI is discouraged, but permitted as long as it is declared. Concealing a COI can lead to a block. Please do not edit further until you respond to this message. Also, do not move from draft yourself, you must submit it for review Jimfbleak - talk to me? 08:56, 18 January 2023 (UTC)
- what is the obvious conflict of interest? NormBender (talk) 20:00, 18 January 2023 (UTC)
- Your editing history and original username, "Uptown Theatre", suggest that you have a personal connection to the Uptown Theatre in Utica, New York, such as being one of its owners. Wikipedia considers editing pages about "yourself, family, friends, clients, employers, or your financial and other relationships" to be a conflict of interest. I can explain more how this might apply to you if you can describe your connection to the Uptown Theater. Apocheir (talk) 03:34, 20 January 2023 (UTC)
