Xiquets, you are invited to the Teahouse!
[edit]Hi Xiquets! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. We hope to see you there!

There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.
If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
{{unblock|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Widr (talk) 09:59, 21 October 2016 (UTC)NordiskKaktus (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
Hi. I was blocked for "promoting" and having a user name for an organization. I would like to disagree. I was reading the article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castell and there was a section for "Colles castelleres"[edit source] This list is incomplete; you can help by expanding it.". I added more Colles/teams that I knew of. I also made a page in English for Xiquets Copenhagen (previously only a Catalan wiki was available https://ca.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xiquets_de_Copenhaguen). This is an English speaking group, and as such should have a new page, with more info like all of the other teams (examples https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castellers_of_London and https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castellers_de_Mont-real). I don't think I violated any rules there. As for my name, I chose "Xiquets". It is a Catalan word for "children" and is commonly associated with Castells, a subject that I like. It is easy to remember too :) It in no way referes to any particular organization or team. I therefore think it is an approriet name to use. Is this the correct way to request to be unblocked? Thanks for your help!Xiquets (talk) 10:35, 21 October 2016 (UTC)
Decline reason:
Your draft article starts off "Xiquets Copenhagen is a team...". A team is an organisation. You are using 'Xiquets' as a username, so it definitely appears that you are representing this organisation. Whether you do or don't, you should not appear to be making 'official' edits on their behalf. Peridon (talk) 16:28, 21 October 2016 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

[edit]The name is OK, and I'm surprised that a passing admin with the name-change right hasn't done it already. As to your Draft, I'd advise looking at Castellers of London and WP:RS. That article has quite a few references, but I'm not sure how independent the ARA ones are (and the blogspot one isn't reliable by Wikipedia standards). You want to try getting better than that. BTW email is best used for things that should be kept out of public view. To contact someone here, you can use {{ping|username}} (curly brackets, and just put the name without User:} which puts a notification up. Oh, yes, you have to type the message too. The notification machinery will tell the recipient where to look for it. (It also tells you when you've got email, which is handy. My Wikipedia email address isn't the same as my main one.) I'll unblock you for a name change as you seem to have got the hang of what's what. (Many don't...) Go to WP:CHU, scroll down to Simple and do what it says. Shouldn't take long. If you want help with the referencing, MelanieN is usually willing to help newcomers (and she knows what she's doing too). Peridon (talk) 14:11, 25 October 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks for the above Peridon-- I was on vacation when getting a message from this editor about the username change. Xiquets, I actually can't change usernames either, and Peridon's advice to make a request at Wikipedia:Changing username/Simple following the instructions is what I would recommend. Signature
[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you. --David Biddulph (talk) 14:23, 26 October 2016 (UTC)
