Hi, I'd like help with the correct format for a reference to a documentary film. You can see what I'm talking about if you look of the article I'm working on in my sandbox. The last line is the one in question.
Please help me with...
I looked at the Citation template and copied the following example: Al-Issawi, Omar (Director) (2001). [1] (Television production). Lebanon: Al-Issawi, Om...
Al-Issawi, Omar (Director) (2001). Harab libnan (Television production). Lebanon: Al-Issawi, Omar.
Accordingly, I filled in the information for the film I wanted to refer to as follows:
Tabata, Susanne (Director) (2010). [2] (Documentary film). Vancouver, Canada: DOXA Documentary Film Festival. {{cite AV media}}
: |access-date=
requires |url=
(help); External link in
(help)
|title=
However, it did not come up correctly. It actually did not show up among my references at all, instead coming up inline with the text and looking pretty wonky.
I'd appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks!

- I'll take a quick look and see if there is anything I can do. EoRdE6(Come Talk to Me!) 02:55, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
- Ok all fixed. What I did was add the ref tags <ref> {{cite}} </ref> around your citation template. While I did that, I also moved the URL into a |URL= and then changed the |title= to the title of the item. Looks much better now. Thanks for your contributions! Please help me with the external links on the bottom of the Gerry Hannah article (my first article). I just put published the updated version yesterday and I realized today that I hadn't properly tested those links and they don't work.
I actually intended to copy the section from the PJ Harvey article, which is marked as a 'good article'. Her article has:
(markup removed)
I tried for a similar format, but obviously what I put was lacking. I'm not able to find 'commons template' and couldn't find any format information within the help information for external links (just policies on what to include). I'm not sure where to look for the proper format. Thanks!

- Hi NoraJune! I've fixed the external links for you. Looks like you left a space after the "www", as with "http://www gerryhannah.bandcamp.com" which is why it did not appear. See Help:URL for more information. You might also find this cheatsheet helpful when working with wikimarkup. Let me know if you need anymore help.
