Outreachy project

[edit]

So you are interested in board games?

On Ludo (Q1030283) I added minimum number of players (P1872) and maximum number of players (P1873). Can you see what happened there? You could try adding these properties to some other games, or see if there are other properties that might be useful too. Regards — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 21:41, 31 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

By the way there are quite a lot of properties related to chess players, see d:Wikidata:List of properties/personal life/leisure#Wikidata property related to chess — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 21:48, 31 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, it looks like a good start! I suggest you move it to User:NonyeRita/Outreachy 1, but it's up to you - your user page is meant to give a short description of yourself. :-) I think you're half way there, but it would be good if you could look at some more properties - perhaps pick a chess player as MSGJ suggests and have a look through the chess-related properties for them? Thanks. Mike Peel (talk) 13:11, 1 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think new users can move pages Mike, but we can move for them if wanted — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 20:07, 1 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I meant by copy-paste. :-) Thanks. Mike Peel (talk) 14:43, 2 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

NonyeRita: you're doing well, but have a careful look at the properties. You have listed instance of (P31) a lot of times. Also you have mentioned "influenced by" but it is still linked to P31. See if you find some more properties that could be applied to these games.

By the way, Ayoayo (Q16733362) is almost completely blank. It would be great if you add some statements to it.

Keep going! Good luck — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 20:07, 1 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Outreachy

[edit]

Hi. I’m sending this to all applicants of the 'Synchronising Wikidata and Wikipedias using pywikibot’ Outreachy project (phab:T276329). Thanks for all your contributions so far! You can continue sending contributions until the Outreachy deadline. If you haven’t already, please submit your contributions to Outreachy, and you might want to start writing your application if you haven’t already (the deadline is next week!) You can do so here. Also, the project has had a lot of interest, and there is only one place available, so I strongly encourage you to also submit contributions and applications to other Outreachy projects as well to increase your chances of doing an Outreachy internship! (Again, I’m saying this to all applicants.) Thanks. Mike Peel (talk) 09:42, 21 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
