Welcome!

Hello, Nomad2u2001, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, like East Carolina University Marching Pirates, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for page creation, and may soon be deleted.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. A tag has been placed on East Carolina University Marching Pirates requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a club, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guidelines for people and for organizations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Thanks

[edit]

Thanks for your addition of the "see also" section to the awards page I just created. I eventually remembered to add the template to the bottom of the page, but at any rate I appreciate it. Let me know if there's ever a question I could try to help you with. Cheers. Zephyrnthesky (talk) 03:49, 6 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Adoption

[edit]

Hi. I saw you are looking to be adopted. I've been here for two years, and I'd be happy to show you around if you'll let me adopt you. Timmeh! 23:08, 11 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Nomad2u2001. You have new messages at Timmeh's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

Hi again, Nomad2u2001. I'm just here to check in, see how you are getting along with your editing, and remind you to use edit summaries. These are important because they notify other editors of what you changed in an article and why you changed it and promote a collaborative and civil atmosphere. If you decide to reply on my talk page, remember that I will reply there to keep discussions in one place. Timmeh!(review me) 23:19, 8 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, it was nice to contribute to a non-Iowa article for a change. I am curious as to what bank backs the scrip, and who prints it, and if other businesses have taken to creating their own versions... Bill Whittaker (talk) 15:31, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for uploading File:Bohumil Makovsky.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. ww2censor (talk) 03:44, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings Recent Changes Patrollers!

This is a one-time-only message to inform you about technical proposals related to Recent Changes Patrol in the 2016 Community Wishlist Survey that I think you may be interested in reviewing and perhaps even voting for:

  1. Adjust number of entries and days at Last unpatrolled
  2. Editor-focused central editing dashboard
  3. "Hide trusted users" checkbox option on watchlists and related/recent changes (RC) pages
  4. Real-Time Recent Changes App for Android
  5. Shortcut for patrollers to last changes list

Further, there are more than 20 proposals related to Watchlists in general that you may be interested in reviewing. (and over 260 proposals in all, across many aspects of wikis)

Thank you for your consideration. Please note that voting for proposals continues through December 12, 2016.

Note: You received this message because you have transcluded {{User wikipedia/RC Patrol}} (user box) on your user page. Since this message is "one-time-only" there is no opt out for future mailings.
