Image Metaheuristics_classification.svg removed from Metaheuristic
[edit]Hi, I wanted to let you know that your image Metaheuristics_classification.svg was removed from Metaheuristic after a discussion in which some users concluded that the diagram was inaccurate and decided to remove it to avoid confusion. Personally I don't agree with this edit because I think the image was quite informative, so I was going to contact the editors to ask if they were planning to make a replacement or considered that someone else should make it. However, it seems that they were not logged in, so there's no way for me to contact them. Since I'm no expert in the subject, I can't edit the image to fix the problem (I wouldn't know what to do) and I don't know if I should just undo their edit, so I ask for advice/help with this. —Cousteau (talk) 15:04, 29 September 2017 (UTC)
- @Cousteau: Thanks for pointing that out. I think the comments are wrong and that their anonymous authors don't understand NPOV. The diagram is a POV supported by sources, you can put it back in the article along with the context (see my comment on the discussion page), if you want to do so. Thanks for your innovative edit
[edit]I thought it might be helpful to explain to you my reasoning in reverting your innovative formatting of caliper (disambiguation). In addition to our extensive manual of style, please also note that most lists are not sentences and the energy devoted to forcing them into model is A waste of your energy -- despite lasting a year or two -- because while all lists surely are descended from spoken sentences, they have evolved into an information processing tool that transcends the spoken word; I don't begrudge you the time I'm going to spend fixing it but wanted to express my sympathy and gratitude for your thinking creatively about issues that affect the project , And I hope you won't be offended. Thanks again, --JerzyA (talk) 22:17, 8 November 2019 (UTC)
- That's a kind attention I would want to see more on WP :-)
- However I'm not sure to see what kind of style yuo refer to. I remember having added a single item on the list, but I don't recall having done anything fancy with the page.
- Anyway, the new version is fine. Nojhan (talk) 08:33, 9 November 2019 (UTC)
