Notice about sources
[edit]All articles must adhere to the biographies of living persons policy, even if it is not a biography, because it contains material about living persons. Take extra care to use high-quality sources. Material about living persons should not be added when the only sourcing is tabloid journalism; see more information on sources.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Sebrina16 (talk • contribs) 16:36, 3 January 2022 (UTC)
- The citations that have been added are all from Broadsheets. Previous citations have been accepted by editors. Changes by your account broke citations and added unfounded claims. You are using terms that indicate a conflict-of-interest. Your account also did not undo-changes. Please refrain from vandalising
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you.

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to engage in subtle vandalism by making unexplained changes to information, you may be blocked from editing.
[edit]Repeated attempts to vandalise the page Tony_Quinn_(businessman) has been observed from this account. This includes adding unfounded claims from tabloid newspapers nearly a decade old and adding references irrelevant to the fictitious information added. This page has had numerous attempts to remove information with citations and even whole sections. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sebrina16 (talk • contribs) 16:55, 3 January 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Hello Nofoolie. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Nofoolie. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Nofoolie|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. CUPIDICAE💕 19:34, 12 April 2022 (UTC)
- Hi, thanks for picking this up. No, I am unpaid. I was reading through the recommendations made by another editor here: Talk:Tony Quinn (businessman) namely 'He is not a businessperson. He is a guru, and I am changing the heading. Or maybe "life coach"'. That editor did not return and I wondered if best to change now. I was running through recommendations having asked for feedback. I am in no way receiving compensation. I will read through your comment. I have gone through all the updates I have made and undid them. I may have been exuberant at the recommendation of "go for it" on this page Template:Renaming. I will review your feedback. I am happy to discuss. Nofoolie (talk) 19:40, 12 April 2022 (UTC)
- What is your connection to Quinn? And do not change the lead or the article title again until you get consensus. CUPIDICAE💕 19:43, 12 April 2022 (UTC)
- Understood.
- I just happen to know a lot about him. It was commented on this podcast https://madnessmadness.buzzsprout.com/1573279/9208281?t=630 made by 2x librarians in Oklahoma that they could not find anything on Quinn from this page. I happen to know a lot, know where the articles are, and thought i could help document it. Nofoolie (talk) 19:44, 12 April 2022 (UTC)

- That is my photo. I have not paid Quinn; I have never received monies from him. It's quite clear that is the case. Nofoolie (talk) 19:47, 12 April 2022 (UTC)
- That doesn't address a conflict of interest. So you took photos of him but don't know him? CUPIDICAE💕 19:51, 12 April 2022 (UTC)
- I have taken photos of many people and don't know them. He's (was) quite the celeb in Ireland
- Your original concern was that I was an advocate? Do please see around Jan 2 when this page was put under protective measures as "advocates" were undoing my edits https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Tony_Quinn_(businessman)&offset=&limit=500&action=history Nofoolie (talk) 19:53, 12 April 2022 (UTC)
- That's not my question - it's what is your connection, as per our policy that enabled you to have knowledge of all this information and take photographs of the subject? CUPIDICAE💕 19:56, 12 April 2022 (UTC)
- I have no connection. I have never received monies from Quinn, his associates or "advocates". I know a lot about Quinn. Your original query was that I was an "advocate" which clearly is not that case. It's my photo. I have -no connection-. I've never spoken with him. It's quite clear if you were to read. Lighthouse International Group moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Lighthouse International Group, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Curbon7 (talk) 20:49, 8 May 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you. I am not connected to this group or others, this is an area of interest to me and I'm privy to information related to these types of groups (regardless of what is claimed above ^^^^), and I am told there will be further articles from reliable-sources
- I will read up on the notability-guidelines. Thanks for your work Nofoolie (talk) 20:54, 8 May 2022 (UTC)

Nithyananda
[edit]Page Nithyananda that you edited has an elaborate discussion on the presence of the false blue notice as the topic of discussion. Nithyananda is a religious leader followed by millions. The presence or absence of an Interpol notice and the conflicting views regarding it should be moved into the controversy section rather than be the introduction to the BLP as per the guidelines on BLP:CRIME. Kindly consider moving the lines into the sections below. 189.176.48.2 (talk) 00:22, 29 January 2023 (UTC)
There are a group of editors with vested interest in the matter who are constantly trying to denigrate the subject. It would be good if experienced editors can look into the matter and ensure the encyclopedic nature of the page rather than promote the views of every tabloid newspaper in real time or merely repeat the (false) views of agencies. It should be noted that the charges against the subject are all speculations and none have been confirmed by any court of law. On the other hand, courts in the US have exonerated the subject and have fined various parties for frivolous lawsuits and defamation. Interpol's rejection of India's request confirms the standpoint of the subject that the criminal charges are only part of a religious persecution. However, the language used in the page seems to lead readers to believe that the charges are confirmed. The presence of the discussion on these charges right in the introduction to the BLP is one of the means by which vested interests have created this projection. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.176.48.2 (talk) 00:34, 29 January 2023 (UTC)

Introduction to contentious topics
[edit]You have recently edited a page related to articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

I did try to engage in discussion with the now-banned contributor on their talk page and the subject Tailored Films talk page. I issued soft warnings raising severity when ignored. Attempts to resolve were ignored. Nofoolie (talk) 19:49, 11 October 2024 (UTC)

Procedural decline; your block has ended. Good luck with editing in the future. asilvering (talk) 01:46, 26 October 2024 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
You did not engage with the user in any helpful way, and even a lack of responses to helpful messages wouldn't have justified repeated restoration of the disputed content. My main concern is whether a partial block might fail to prevent further disruption if you continue this approach towards other users, looking at Special:Diff/1161341686 which appears to be a past warning for similar behavior from Drmies. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 19:56, 11 October 2024 (UTC)
