About your sandbox
[edit]I see that you have created your sandbox with a name "Noeljack's First Sandbox". However, the names in the "mainspace" or "article space" (see Wikipedia:Namespace for more details about various namespaces) should be reserved for real articles. Thus I moved it to User:Noeljack/Noeljack's First Sandbox - a subpage of your user page. Hope you don't mind, and good luck with writing. --Martynas Patasius (talk) 00:56, 9 February 2010 (UTC)
- Oh, I see I was not the only one doing so, thus your sandbox ended up at User:Noeljack/First Sandbox. --Martynas Patasius (talk) 01:09, 9 February 2010 (UTC)
Bib is a good start
[edit]Your bib looks good so far. I'd prefer to see you find a critical article, perhaps in JSTOR, about the book. There might also be a critical biography of her that you could take a look at. Just using the excerpted reviews on amazon or barnes and noble are not sufficient. Auntieruth55 (talk) 21:11, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (File:Freaky_Green_Eyes.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Freaky_Green_Eyes.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 17:28, 8 April 2010 (UTC)
Hey there Noeljack, thank you for your contributions! I am a bot alerting you that Non-free files are not allowed in the user or talk-space. I removed some files that I found on User:Noeljack/ Sandbox for Freaky Green Eyes. In the future, please refrain from adding fair-use files to your user-space drafts or your talk page.
- See a log of files removed today here.
- Shut off the bot here.
- Report errors here.
Thank you, -- DASHBot (talk) 00:24, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
Welcome to the Novels WikiProject
[edit]Hi, and welcome to the Novels WikiProject! As you may have guessed, we're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of topics related to fiction books, often referred to as "novels".
A few features that you might find helpful:
- Our navigation box points to most of the useful pages within the project.
- The announcement and open task box is updated quite regularly. You can watch it if you're interested; or, you can add it directly to your user page by including {{WikiProject Novels announcements}} there.
While you are updating your userpage, don't forget our userbox {{Wikipedia:WikiProject Novels/Outreach/User WPNOVELS}}. - Important discussions take place on the project's main discussion page; it is highly recommended that you watchlist it.
- Planning on starting some new articles? Our article structure guidelines / template outlines some things to include.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask one of the coordinators or an experienced member of the project; we will be happy to assist in any way we can. Again, welcome, and we look forward to seeing you around! —Ed (talk • majestic titan) 05:33, 12 April 2010 (UTC)
