Speedy deletion nomination of James V. Solheim
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on James V. Solheim requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. —C.Fred (talk) 15:23, 4 July 2012 (UTC)
I think you just need to add your name here.

See 2 posts above, in the tutorial (Wikipedia:Tutorial/Talk pages). But I am a bit surprised, as you already answer feedback requests, so I would have expected for you to know the basics at least.

Your note about rollback
[edit]Hi NoRwEgIaNbAcTeRiUm, unfortunately you only have four edits to articles and only one revert...meaning that I have little on which to judge how well you would use the rollback feature. I suggest you read up on vandalism and practice reverting with the undo feature for a week or so. Once you've done that, feel free to re-request rollback, either on my talk page or at the permissions page. Best. Acalamari 22:00, 6 July 2012 (UTC)

Feedback
[edit]Regarding this edit, an admin will fix what, exactly? If it wasn't for vandalism like this, most pages wouldn't need to be protected in the first place. RashersTierney (talk) 23:10, 10 July 2012 (UTC)

looking at the different categories of the website, it is an amazing discovery that one can write notes here in sync with our work correspondences in the office. Jadira Norton (talk) 14:57, 11 July 2012 (UTC) |
Your Feedback Dashobard comments
[edit]Hello and thanks for helping at Feedback Dashboard! However, I believe you should put better effort with replies such as this. Considering that the user was new, it's unlikely they are familiar with the guidelines. When users are having troubles, consider suggesting that they visit Wikipedia:Tutorial. If they mention that their article was deleted, consider suggesting Wikipedia:Writing better articles. If you have questions, contact me at my talk page. Cheers! New deal for page patrollers
[edit]Hi NoRwEgIaNbAcTeRiUm,
In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.
Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.
Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:29, 13 November 2016 (UTC)
