There are other reasons for standard infoboxes than just being used in articles.. For example, search engines, such as Google, use information from the infoboxes in their search results. Type a person's name into Google and the top-right box is populated with information that comes from infoboxes. Other database sites, such as WikiData, use the infobox info.
