Faculty of Teachers' Education
[edit]Hello, I took a look at Faculty of Teachers' Education. I question whether this should be a standalone article rather than a subsection of Nanjing Normal University. The reason is because of a lack of notability, as no independent people seem to have written about the topic. Also there will be many Faculties of Teachers' Education found around the world, so it should have been disambiguated something like this: Faculty of Teachers' Education of Nanjing Normal University or Nanjing Normal University Faculty of Teachers' Education. Also is there a conflict of interest? If you are part of an organisation it is best if you do not write about it, because it can result in a biased point of view. Also "call of our country" is inappropriate here, as the article should be written from a worldwide perspective. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 05:50, 25 September 2011 (UTC)
Hello, I have moved the article to Faculty of Teachers' Education of Nanjing Normal University. After a week of editing the move button should appear as you become autoconfirmed| Since you asked what can be improved, there are some punctuation problems with lack of spaces after "," and ")" and before "(". There also some Wikipedia style issues. There is a large document at WP:Manual of style saying how to format an article. It would be too much to read, so I will suggest some things. First there is no heading right at the start, as the software makes a heading at the top of the page anyway. Instead when you write the article, the first time the topic is mentioned make it bold like this: Faculty of Teachers' Education of Nanjing Normal University by doing this: '''Faculty of Teachers' Education of Nanjing Normal University'''. You should link other pages relevant for example teacher education. Where you state "southern birthplace of China's education of teachers" this needs more explanation, as I am sure that teachers were trained long before 2010 when the faculty opened. Instead of "mount of efforts" what you meant to write is "amount of effort". But to be brief you can just use the word "effort". THe term "2.5+1.5" needs explanation. Is it number of years of study? Where you write "10 majorities" the number should be written in letters as "Ten" and I think you meant academic majors, not majorities (as in a bigger number of people). "The faculty today" is obviously a heading, so you should format it like this: == The faculty today ==. Also you write "normal students", does that mean the normal situation, or just NNU students? Also you do not need to say "an amount of", it is just padding out more words than needed to state the facts. And we still need references that are independent and not connected with the university!
