Speedy deletion nomination of Xu qijun
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Xu qijun requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. →Στc. 04:58, 21 September 2011 (UTC)

English
[edit]Please note that this is English language Wikipedia, and all contributions should be in English. Please don't use Chinese titles for articles, as you did at 徐其军. JamesBWatson (talk) 12:28, 21 September 2011 (UTC)

Hello, I have made some changes to your article. Please take a look at them here. In particular:
- Wikipedia articles should be neutral and not promotional. So sentences like "The school personnel determined to reform teaching methods, improve teaching skills and enhance teaching effectiveness" are not okay. Basically, you should state facts only. Opinions should be presented in a way that makes it clear whose opinions they are.
- You should not use online encyclopedias anyone can edit (like 搜搜 and including Wikipedia) as sources, since we don't know if they are accurate, or if the authors checked their information.
In addition, your article has some issues with grammar and prose, but I left them alone on purpose, since I think your instructor would probably want you to correct those yourself. Please continue to improve your article; if you need help, feel free to ask me (here or on my talk page) or ask in the live help chatroom. Good luck! wctaiwan (talk) 12:12, 25 September 2011 (UTC)
- Hi, I have reverted your most recent addition because I feel what you added is still too promotional. Things like school philosophy statements are often loaded with positive words, so we usually don't consider them to be neutral enough for inclusion on Wikipedia. If you disagree, consider getting a third opinion in the live help chatroom or from another editor. Thanks. wctaiwan (talk) 12:29, 28 September 2011 (UTC)

The article Jing Chai has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- no notability
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- ɑηsuмaη ʈ ᶏ ɭ Ϟ 23:52, 16 December 2011 (UTC)
Chai Jing article
[edit]I used an automated program that searches new pages and found a lot of issues in the Chai Jing article, so I edited it quite a bit to get to the essential points and encyclopedia content. There are still some references that need to be updated from bare links, but it's in much better shape and there was really good content to work with / summarize.--CaroleHenson (talk) 08:23, 25 December 2011 (UTC)
- I took a peak and the bare links seem to be for articles written in Chinese, which speakers of the English language are not able to: 1) verify, 2) complete the citations and 3) use the links for more information. One option is for me to remove these links, but it would be better if you could find English language citations for the article. Can you do that? Do you need help in how to search for English sources?--CaroleHenson (talk) 16:28, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
- Here's a link that you can try to get English sources: see here.--CaroleHenson (talk) 16:36, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
Ant Tribe
[edit]Hello! I have noticed that the article Ant Tribe currently lacks a coherent topic, as it appears to deal with the subject and the researcher Lian Si simultaneously. As I understand that "ant tribe" as a phenomenon is not tied explicitly to Lian Si, it may be of help to write the article from a more neutral point of view, and mention Lian Si only briefly. Ant Tribe
[edit]Hi!
I'm working on the Ant Tribe article (love it!) to resolve the rewrite issues, remove redundant info, get verifiable English sources, wikify the article, etc. I've cleaned it up a bit - and there will be likely more info coming - based on the number of sources I'm finding. Hang in there, when I get a little further I'd love to have your input. (So glad I'm not the one that's multi-lingual, I just need to worry about one language!--CaroleHenson (talk) 12:59, 27 December 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. When you recently edited Hu Ge (actor), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Chinese Paladin (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Tupian.JPG
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Tupian.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.
If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.
Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 02:20, 30 December 2011 (UTC)
