Alert for India/Pakistan/Afghanistan related articles
[edit]This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

[edit]Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Abhijit Bhaduri may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "[]"s and 2 "{}"s likely mistaking one for another. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Your draft article, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Married But Available (Novel)
[edit]Hello Niv.eno.nesohc. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Married But Available (Novel)".
The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply {{db-afc}}
or {{db-g13}}
code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.
If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Married But Available (Novel)}}
, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.
Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 18:02, 22 July 2014 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Tayi Arajakate. I noticed that you recently removed content from Siddharth Varadarajan without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Tayi Arajakate Talk 13:00, 5 January 2021 (UTC)
The cited reference no longer exists and connects to a 'Page not found' page. A proper reference / citation would be required there. Hence, removed the outdated link and requested for citation. Hope this clarifies. Pl do provide a right reference. Niv.eno.nesohc (talk) 15:47, 5 January 2021 (UTC)
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at The Caravan. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively, you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Tayi Arajakate Talk 20:21, 7 January 2021 (UTC)
Citing a dead link as a reference is not unconstructive. Provide proper references then. Pl refrain from unnecessarily reverting edits without making the necessary corrections Niv.eno.nesohc (talk) 20:24, 7 January 2021 (UTC)
Can you pl explain what is making you to unnecessarily revert edits when a clear reason is provided that the cited article is throwing the error 'Page not found'. Why are you not correcting the same and reverting the edit. Can this be explained? Niv.eno.nesohc (talk) 20:26, 7 January 2021 (UTC)
The previous reply is in reference to the revert of edits done on the Siddharth Varadarajan page. With respect to Caravan magazine - pl compare the source cited by the earlier editor to the statement made on the article. Doesnt such a statement made require better sources. Or else, it will not seem neutral. Hope reasons provided for edits are read before responding on talk pages Niv.eno.nesohc (talk) 20:31, 7 January 2021 (UTC)
- The appropriate thing to do in case of a dead link is to tag it as a dead link, not to remove the citation itself and then add a citation needed tag, which gives the impression that it is unsourced. Same goes for the page on The Caravan, if you think it needs better sources then that's the tag you should use, not add a citation needed tag at an earlier part of the sentences which gives the impression that the part is unsourced.
