Creating inappropriate articles

[edit]

Please stop. If you continue to ignore our policies by introducing inappropriate pages, such as Jessica Messina, to Wikipedia, you will be blocked. -Cquan (talk, AMA Desk) 01:31, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Vincenzo Fehring, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you feel that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Cquan (talk, AMA Desk) 01:37, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've tagged this article for deletion again. NickelShoe (Talk) 17:04, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
And again. --RazorICE 07:27, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't keep re-creating deleted articles which do not meet the criteria for notability. Doing so is disruptive to Wikipedia and may result in your account being blocked from editing. MastCell Talk 19:56, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your question

[edit]

In response to your email: the reason that the article you've created about yourself is being deleted is that Wikipedia is not free webhosting space or an indiscriminate collection of information. Articles about individuals need to pass fairly strict criteria on notability, which are summarized here. Basically, if a person has not been written about in reliable secondary sources (newspaper coverage, etc), then they're probably not notable enough to have an article here. It's not a judgement on you as a person - very few of us are "notable" in this sense (I'm certainly not). If you want to get your life story or autobiography out there on the Web, then the best approach is to use a web hosting service and create your own webpage, if you haven't already done so. Using Wikipedia for that purpose, though, is inappropriate, and that's why the article has been deleted. I hope that makes sense; please let me know of any questions.
