License tagging for Image:Fingerlonger.JPG
Thanks for uploading Image:Fingerlonger.JPG. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

Your VandalProof Application
Dear Nishkid64,
Thank you for applying for VandalProof! (VP). As you may know, VP is a very powerful program, and in fact with the new 1.2 version release it has even more power. As such we must uphold strict protocols before approving a new applicant. Regretfully, I have chosen to decline your application at this time. The reason for this is that that you have too few edits in the main article namespace. Please note it is nothing personal by any means, and we certainly welcome you to apply again in the not too distant future. Thank you for your interest in VandalProof. —Xyrael / 14:35, 2 July 2006 (UTC)

I Need Help
Can you tell me how to make a player profile?
Thanks, I'll check that out after a while. I'm putting baseball players' birthdays on the days pages right now. Thanks again, User:Clay4president
Okay, I've got the player profile in, but I don't know how to make the internet pics into Wikipedia images.
Page protection
Just to let you know, adding sprotected or protected to a page is only a means for an admin to notify users that a page is actually protected. This does not actually confer protection to the article such as the notice you placed on Asuka Shimizu, and Anbumani Ramadoss. If you need help protecting a page, please contact an admin or list the page at WP:RPP. Otherwise it is considered poor form to place these tags as a kind of bluff. Please also note that removing notices from your talk page without explanation, like this, is also considered poor form. Thanks. Happy editing! -- zzuuzz (talk) 14:01, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
Infoboxes
Don't remove them without reason. Thanks Cs-wolves 23:01, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
Those guys are minor league players. You don't need an infobox for someone who has yet to make their MLB debut.
Nishkid64 12:14, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
Saves time doing it, when they do make their debut. Also, there is no feud between me and Clay coz i wrote that before I saw his point on my user page. Thanks Cs-wolves 14:05, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

Hey Nish
If you have some spare time on here, I need your help. I am working on putting infoboxes into Washington Nationals players. But I still can't quite get the pictures in. So if you have spare time I would really appreciate it if you could put their pictures in. I find all their pictures on their MLB.com profiles. Thanks, User:Clay4president

Ringo
The website ask for my email password. I receive emails related to ringo from friends (as the emails adresse say so) that were NOT sent by my friends themself Obviously Ringo is scam. Now tell me why you have deleted my change on the article without even arguing on the discussion page?
I was just patrolling 'Recent Changes' and I saw the page had been edited. I went to it, and I saw that someone had changed the article from "is" to "claim to be". Right there I saw that soemone was expressing their own biased personal opinion. That's why I reverted your edit. It seems like you might be right, but you have to be in consensus with other members of Wikipedia. If others agree, then you can add a section to Ringo.com about suspected security and privacy issues. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. Encyclopedias are not supposed to express a point of view.
And by the way, we discuss on the discussion page...not argue.
Nishkid64 23:58, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry for my broken english, but I don't think I am expressing my point of view when I'm saying Ringo might be a scam (and by the way, Ringo IS a scam).
Who disagree? Actually I don't see anyone exepte the user "ablaze" who delete change made againste Ringo and who use non valid argument to justify this.
I just believet that when someone look for Ringo on the wiki, he should at least find links concerning the privacy issue like I was looking for rather than a biased article. I just had to look in the discussion page to see that I was not the only one who got asked for his emails passwords and had fakes emails from reals friends.
Also if you made further research on the internet about Ringo, you will see that the site owner are very active when it come to defends their website, therefore I will not be surprise if those people made this biased article and try to keep it that way.
HI, I dont know how to send you a message, so have enetered this comment. Just wanted to let you know that my entry "To view an example of an online advert please visit http://www.rentboyaustralia.com/houseboy where you will find photo's, description and rates etc of one of Australia's most famous prostitute." shoudl not be considered vandalism as it is a real link to a real site and I am the owner of the site. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 58.178.204.64 (talk • contribs) 23:37, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
You're basically advertising on the Male prostitution page. Wikipedia is not a place where you can advertise your own website. I don't think it's even necessary to add an example of an online advert. There are external links on the bottom. If people are really that interested, they'll go check it out over there.

that's weird
You sent me something that I vandalized a New York Yankees page. I don't even remember ever visiting a Yankees page. I'm a Yanks fan though. Anyway, I'm the only one with access to this machine, so it's a rather odd thing to be accused of. Oh well, I suppose it's life in the identity theft world in which we live.

Barbara Boxer economics
How can you accuse me of having vandalized the Boxer article with a comment pertaining to her economic policies? This was a fair addition.
Sorry about that. I didn't see it also deleted the economics stuff, but I first saw your so-called "penis rights" and that was vandalism so I was in the process of reverting, when you changed it yourself. --Nishkid64 14:24, 2 August 2006 (UTC)

Sir,
I apologize for the "penis rights." I frequently make such idiotic revisions to articles about people I don't like and hit the "show preview" button just for my own amusement. I didn't intentionally save it. Such carelessness will be avoided in the future.

I did some basic stuff with Abattichio (positions, teams) by pulling from Baseball Reference. In the next day or so, I'll go over that linked article and see if there's anything there that's worth inclusion. Stilgar135 03:44, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

Garfield
As I pointed out several times, everything that I changed in the Garfield section is information I added in. If it hurts your eyes too much to see it in it's original state, than just take out my entire contribution. Thank you.
The information: "Garfield's favourite food is lasagna." is information I added in a long time ago and I keep having to correct it. Either take the whole damn thing out or stop screwing around with my contribution. I repeat, don't like it? JUST TAKE IT OUT!!
The following is the setence I added in: Ever since then, it has always been his favourite food. I added it months ago. Someone keeps changing it. I don't know who. I wish they would stop. At least not fumble around with it and just delete the whole sentence if it hurts their eyes so much. But I added it and if you don't like it as it is, TERMINATE IT! DON'T MODIFY MY WORK FOR YOUR PEASURE! English Linguistics are screwed up enough because of that damn Noah Webster.
I didn't say you were changing it, I said someone was changing it. And for the last time, I PUT IN THAT INFORMATION! MY SENTENCE! MY CONTRIBUTION! THINK IT'S VANDALISM? TAKE IT OUT! DON'T PROTECT IT WHEN IT'S SCREWED UP BY SOMEONE ELSE! WHOOSH! THERE IT GOES! GONE! ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS DELETE IT! OTHERWISE, DON'T CONSIDER IT VANDALISM CAUSE IT'S NOT!
Wow, I can name you ten articles i have corrected that were written in BOTH formats. I'm not changing anything else. I'm just protecting my contribution. It's my contribution. MINE! HAHAHA! I'd rather it be dead than tortured by a bad linguistic hygeine. So do me a favour, if that "u" upsets you so much, don't leave the rest of my sentence in a state of grief by just killing hthe "u". Kill the whole thing if you can't handle the innocent little "u" from MY contribution!
Thank You.
Regarding change to My Chemical Romance article
Dear Nishkid64, I do not feel that my changes under the Criticisms section of the wiki article for My Chemical Romance were vandalistic in nature. The changes were niether disruptive nor offensive and were made with intention to clarify and correct information in the section which is of poor and misconstrued quality. Despite any past history in changes on wikipedia the change made on the article was intended to improve the article, the information provided, and the wikipedia community. Thank You.
Hey, I made a mistake and replied to the wrong person. I'm kinda new to using all of wikipedia's features. I'm sorry for the mix-up and any offense. My bad.
Blocking 67.151.178.146?
You gave user 67.151.178.146 a "last warning," but he's still at it, changing spellings left and right. Can't he be eliminated in some way? --Justice for All 21:47, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
- I'm very new here (not quite as new as my account, but almost), but, sure I'll look around. One would hope it would be obvious.... --Justice for All 21:58, 8 August 2006 (UTC) By the way, I thought all 67.x.x.x IP addresses were in California. Must be a homesick British immigrant.
Yeah, he's from Beverly Hills, California. I also found it, and I'm reporting the guy right now. Thanks for your help! --Nishkid64 22:03, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you for taking this seriously! Adhering to wikipedia's guidelines, and forcing the non-compliant to do the same, is good for the community. --Justice for All 14:12, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
Unfortunately, the admin that responded to my request for temporary blocking decided that it was not necessary, since some of 67.151.178.146's edits have been productive.
This was his response: I may very well have been wrong here, I don't remember this particular case. Admin practice here differ, but in general I usually don't block IP-addresses on AIV if they haven't edited for a while (last hour or so). This was most likely the case here. The IP hadn't made any more bad edits for a couple of hours, and I probably found that an immediate block was therefore not needed. Blocking is usually done to stop people from vandalising, and not as a punishment. Now I see the IP later made at least some useful edits that wouldn't have been made if I had blocked him/her, so I think leaving the IP unblocked turned out to be an ok decision. Maybe it's a shared IP. Anyway, I fully understand that watching someone making bad edits without any later admin intervention can be frustrating, but simply reverting and moving on is sometimes the most time saving option. But, please do continue to report this or any other IP you see making bad edits after being warned. Your help is most appreciated even if you might get the impression that it isn't sometimes ;-). Shanes 16:20, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for looking into this. As I said, I'm new here, but I'm starting to wonder whether this place is overrun by angry Brits worried about the decline of the culture. They should get over it. There are more important things to worry about than spelling, but it bugs me that these trouble makers can't more easily be stopped. Here's another one, 62.249.214.195: [1]. --Justice for All 21:27, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for the heads up. I'll keep an eye on him, and see what he does in the future. At this point in time, we can't do anything, since he barely has made any edits to Wikipedia.
However, he just narrowly missed getting banned for a 3RR violation. He had one revert on August 9, and two others on August 10 to the article Sun, and if he had done all 3 on the same day, then we could have gotten him.

Thank you for participating in my RfA! I withdrew at (2/7/2) because I realised that I made a misjudged action by accepting the nomination so soon after a couple of edits which I whole-heartedly regret. I invite you to take the opportunity to read an explanation I gave for those diffs. In no way am I defending my actions, as I now realise they were wrong, but I still feel that if you understand the reasons I have given both with my withdrawal statement, as well as my RfA talk page, we may be able to travel the path of understanding. Hey, nice job on the Lee Smith (baseball) article! Just curious - why do you add dates as 2006-08-19? Adding simply 2006-08-19 should do the same thing. Hi Nishkid!
On Kpjas' RFA, you have voted oppose based on his apparent lack of experience ("Lack of edits to user_talk and Wikipedia spaces even though he/she's been here since 2001"). In fact, Kpjas is already an admin on the Polish Wikipedia, and has 37,000 edits there, including 2,600 to WP space over there. You have voted oppose based on inexperience in WP space, but these facts clearly indicate plenty of experience in the required areas. Nishkid, you want an experienced editor for admin. Kpjas is clearly experienced. Without badgering you, I urge you to reconsider your vote in this particular RfA. Happy editing! :) --Firsfron of Ronchester 07:36, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

Your edit on 'train spotting'
I object to your edit of my contribution, good sir. If you look at http://orangecow.org/pythonet/sketches/camel.htm, you will see that that particular Python sketch is different from how it was summed up in the article. Please change it or rephrase it after seeing or reading this sketch. It is not nonsense. This time I am not playing around with you people, I wish to contribute. If you can forgive me, please look into the matter before calling it nonsense.

My edit to Grand Theft Auto 2
Greetings. Regarding your revert and assertion of vandalism to my contribution to the article on Grand Theft Auto 2. I do not mind so much about the revert, and wouldn't have given it a second thought if it had simply been a revert - it wasn't critical information anyway, and I likely would have assumed it was simply due to space constraints or a personal decision about what is important or necessary and what is not. I do, however, wonder why it is considered vandalism or "nonsense" as you have described it. I have not defaced the article, nor have I inserted unrelated or offensive information, or deliberately made a bad-faith edit of any kind. I added a sentence to the description of a picture to more comprehensively illustrate (so I felt, at any rate) to any viewers thereof, the nature of the scene depicted. If you would be so kind as to cite a precedent for not adding minor amounts of relevant or at least harmlessly semi-relevant information to an article, or give your personal views on why this in particular was something that could not simply have been solved by a simple deletion of the added information, I would be very much grateful. If you do not feel this is necessary, or that your actions were self-evidently motivated, I will not bring this issue up again, as I do not see it as major, aside from the fact that I do prefer to at least have an idea what I have unwittingly done to harm an article, so that I may avoid doing so at some later point. Thank you for your time. 216.129.211.105 15:48, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
blocking User:83.26.24.55
You and I edit-conflicted on his talk page, and I had already blocked him. He had already been warned several times today, including a "last warning", and so I thought the entry-level bv template was somewhat misleading. (Especially the part that says "Welcome to Wikipedia" :-) ) Because he was already blocked at the time you left the warning, I figured it was better to remove it. Cheers, FreplySpang 16:50, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
