Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at Wikipedia:Teahouse, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. 331dot (talk) 10:59, 20 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

It would be one thing if you posted a comment and removed it before it was replied to, but once people reply to it you cannot remove their comments and you can't remove your comments as that breaks up the discussion. I would again stress that you need to formally declare your conflict of interest and paid editing relationship in order to continue editing. 331dot (talk) 11:01, 20 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not delete or edit legitimate talk page comments, as you did at Wikipedia:Teahouse. Such edits are disruptive, and may appear to other editors to be vandalism. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. 331dot (talk) 11:02, 20 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), such as at Wikipedia:Teahouse, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( in the enhanced toolbar, or if you use the old "classic" toolbar) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. Drm310 🍁 (talk) 22:31, 20 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
